i received the Scotch Adjustable Hem tape free to try and review.

ive always hated buying new pants. They are always too long.
It's also a struggle to find the perfect length for heels and flats. Which is impossible.

The Adjustable Hem tape is fanstastic because I can determine the length depending on the shoes. It doesn't have the perfect result as a tailor would provide but I think it's perfect for a quick fix. It is a little pricey but very worth it just for the convenience

I received this product free from ChickAdvisor's product review club. I was super excited to try the permanent hem tape that came with the sample pack, but the adjustable hem tape was just a bonus for me. I'm tall and my pants and skirts are typically too short already. This adjustable hem tape would come in handy when adjusting the hem of other clothing items, like t-shirts and blouses. You know when you have a t-shirt with sleeves that do not lie flat against your arms and you want to wear a cardigan without sleeve bulges? This product helps with that! It hems t-shirt sleeves effortlessly and they stay up all day long. There is a bit of sticky residue once you remove the tape, but I'm hoping that it comes out in the wash. After using the tape on a tee, I have decided that it can likely be used on a blouse as well...as long as the material isn't too sheer or drapey. Aside from the residue issue, the only con would be the price. $9.99 for 24 disposable strips seems a bit steep for me. I don't think I would pay this much to purchase the product in the future.

I got this product to review for free from Chick Advisor and I was so excite because I just bought this beautiful pencil skirt that is the perfect length usually but I needed it slightly shorter for a new pair of boots. So I use this product right away and I was so impressed! It kept the hem up with no issue of unglueing. And when I took it off there was no gross residue on the material

This product worked great! I used it on a pair of pants that needed a quick adjustment. It's obviously not as good as going to a tailor but if you're in an emergency situation then this is perfect. It is fast and easy to use.

I really like the concept and I tried it on my wool dress pants.
I'm not sure I am in love with the results, the hem isn't as crisp as from the tailor but I think it would be useful in a pinch. I would definitely consider bringing this on a work trip to make some meeting appropriate skirts evening appropriate as well so I could pack lighter.
It is quite pricey, but cheaper than going to the tailor.

Short girl woe #233 - I need to hem every single piece of clothing I own. But I also have gotten very good at buying pants that can be folded up or adjusted for heels vs flats. BUT then I'm constantly adding safety pins in and out of pants and turning them into giant pincushions.

I'm a believer when it comes to the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips, but how did I feel about their semi-permanent friend? Well, pretty friendly, overall. I like the idea of an adjustable option that doesn't require safety pins to keep my hems clean, but I found the stick-um removal process, rather sticky. Putting the adhesive on was pretty straight forward.
1. Turn item inside out.
2. Measure hem
3. Rip off strip of tape
4. Apply along seam, press firmly.
5. Remove top of tape, press firmly to seal. Voila!
But the removal was definitely trickier. Not sure if I like this option nearly as much as the permanent bonding. I'd rather just do this once and get it over with.

I was doubtful about this product, but as someone who constantly wears the same pants or skirt with 4 inch pumps or flats, I love the idea of having the option to change the hem of my pants or skirt! I can't believe how well the adhesive stays on the fabric! Super easy to use and convenient enough to throw right into your purse. LOVE THESE!

I love the fact that it is not permanent. I plan to use it on a pair of pants that i usually wear with high heels but that I would like to put on with flats for a casual family function.

This product is made for people like me who find most sewing jobs very challenging and don't have the funds to hire a tailor to hem most of the clothes I buy. (While I am not short, my legs are short relative to my body so most pants, skirts and dresses I buy are too long.)
The product was a bit fiddly to use at first but worked great on a too-long dress of mine and survived one washing and drying just fine. This will become a staple in my household!

I don't own a sewing machine or the skill to use one so I was super excited to try this products as part of the chick advisors review club!

I used it on my work pants and found it very easy and fast to use. It took me a couple tries to make sure it was where I wanted it but my user error aside it is a wonderful product. I feel my pants looked like they had a professional hem and no one knew it was a tape!

The only downfall with this product I feel would be the cost; as it is only temporary. However, it is nice incase you change your mind or wear different shoes, it is easy to adjust the hemline.
