This will be the last product I buy from the Body Shop, as I have yet to purchase any type of moisturizer that fulfilled its claim. The products have lovely scents and textures, but that is not enough to cover up the fact that there is no moisture being given to the skin.
Overall I wasn't really happy with this product. My skin is super hard to please. And I found it didn't really do much for me. And I didn't really even like the smell. So for me this one is a pass...I was disappointed because I really like the idea of natural body shop products. But I just couldn't do it:(
Super awesome on the face. You feel the difference instantly - makes your skin smooth and so soft and goes on so well especially after your shower. I make sure to always have an extra before I completely run out.
I'm pretty obsessed with vitamin E products for my skin. Therefore, I had to try this cream from The Body Shop. I do think it is an effective and quality moisturizer. I found it was a slightly heavier cream so I mostly used before bed. It does soften the skin and help heal and prevent any acne scarring. However, I prefer the Jamieson Vitamin E moisturizer as an alternative, as I find it is a better value. But I do still recommend this product.
Good face lotion - moisturises well, doesn't have a strong scent and I love other things from this line. I have dry skin, so I use this line a lot and definitely like the fell of my skin after.
Wait for a sale from the Body shop before you buy - they always have sakes, paying full price for this is too much.
I was searching for a new cream for the colder months and decided to try out the vitamin e cream after hearing so many good reviews about it.
Did it meet my expectations? Absolutely! After the first use, I could already feel a huge difference in my skin. It felt softer and more supple.
The texture is very soft and creamy. The smell might be a bit strong for some people, but I don't mind the smell so much. The smell reminds me a little of baby powder.
This worked very well for my dry and sometimes flaky skin. I would definately reccomend it to those with dry skin but this cream might be too rich for those with oily skin.
I purchased this on sale for 50% off so it was a real steal for me. I will definately purchase again.
I was very disappointed with this cream. It is very thick and greasy and so it made my face shiny. It blocked my pores and made me breakout. It also irritated my eyes and left a burning sensation. Maybe my skin is sensitive but I would not recommend this product. The only upside it that it has a wonderful smell.
It's not the BEST moisturizer I've ever tried, but it's definitely not the worst. It goes on pretty well onto the face but I found that the moisture didn't last too too long.
I use this moisturizer all the time. In fact, I find most of the Vitamin E line at the Body Shop to be very good if you're looking for a general all-purpose skin care line. I first got hooked on the Vitamin E line when I was in highschool and used their Vitamin E soap (which they don't have anymore - they replaced it with their cream face wash instead). I noticed that my face felt really soft and supple afterwards.
My skin was also prone to break outs and I noticed, that when I used the Vitamin E line, that the scarring that would result from blemishes would go away faster than when I wasn't using Vitamin E. Perhaps I'm biased by the what I've heard about Vitamin E helping to reduce the appearance of scars, but for me, I believe it works.
The day cream is a light moisturizer and good for general hydration. However, if you find that your skin is quite dry you may need a more intense moisturizer. I like the Vitamin E day cream because it's light, absorbs well and isn't greasy. It's a nice light moisturizer in the summer. However, in the winter, I tend to use moisturizers that are a little heavier due to the drier climate.
This is still a good general all-round moisturizer though. And it has a nice, refreshing scent that isn't too strong. The price point is also reasonable compared to other day creams that are on the market.
