Not really a lipstick... more of a gloss

This product unfortunately fell short of my expectations. Overall, I would not purchase it for myself or recommend it.

THE GOOD
The packaging, as always, was fabulous. The high gloss gold box, and the sturdy, metal tube with the emboss detailing fed into my excitement. When I opened the product, the colour was beautiful! The #150 was a peachy pink with gold shimmer. I envisioned it as a soft but bright and illuminating summer shade. Even though it's a lipstick, I could tell by just looking at it, that it was going to be hydrating - and it was!

THE BAD
The product was scented. I generally shy away from scented cosmetics in general. I don't like smelling things on my face. It has a strong 'berry' or 'juice' smell to it which immediately put me off. It wasn't a bad smell, it just was not up my alley and was reminiscent of what a pre-teen may gravitate toward. I knew that I wouldn't have been able to wear it for long because the scent was already agitating what sometimes triggers migraine. Note - despite the scent it does not have a flavour. Nonetheless was excited to see what the shade looked like on my lips. When I applied the product it went on smooth, but I couldn't really see any part of the pigment on my lips. It took multiple applications to build noticeable colour. When I did get that bit of colour payoff, it did not look like the product in the tube. It still turned out to be a nice shade, but I won't be able to wear it because of how strongly it is scented.

Some may like this product, but I recommend going to the store and smelling it before purchasing. And swatch it if you can because the colour is not at all what it looks like in the tube.

More of a light gloss than a lipstick

The #44 was a muted dusty rose which was right in line with my usual everyday nude. Even though it's a lipstick, I could tell by just looking at it, that it was going to be hydrating - and it was!

I love these lipsticks!!! Very hydrating and smooth on the lips. The new packaging looks amazing. I love that the colors are sheer, almost like a tinted lip balm. 10/10!

Perfect, muted rose colour

This gorgeous muted rose colour just completed my look today. Perfect for my skin tone and probably a lot of other skin tones as well! I love how this lipstick feel so comfortable on the lips. It has a nice shine as well with a bit of shimmer. My favourite thing about it is that it’s also a lip oil without feeling oily. YSL has figured out how to make a lipstick have lip oil qualities! Thanks to Butterly for sending me these lipsticks for free so I can be a part of the team that shows everyone how beautiful they are!

Amazing lipstick

These lipsticks are amazing so moisturizing.
Packed with lip oil.
Lipstick is good but this shade washed me out
I love the luxurious packaging of these lipsticks. Everything about these just feels high quality. These lipsticks glide on effortlessly and feel more like a lip balm than a lipstick. They are subtle enough for day time use or to add a touch of color and shine on a night out. These lipsticks really do moisturize and feel great on your lips. They also have a soft scent.

The Nude Lavalliere shade is a soft pink nude. That offers the perfect touch of pink and shine.

WOW factor for my lips!!!

This lipstick is simply top shelf in every way. I used it every morning for almost 2 weeks and loved it more and more each day. It applied like silk and it feels “wet” but doesn’t transfer off onto coffee cups, etc. The wear on this lipstick is very long. Usually I only see that in a matte type of lipstick and I dislike the dry feel of matte options. This one feels moist on my lips, is very shiny and leaves my lips feeling soft and hydrated. As a person who wears lipstick daily, I feel like I am pretty picky on it and this one literally exceeded my every expectation. I loved the non-descript color enough that I think I will try a bolder color another time. YSL did not disappoint with this lipstick and I am happily recommending this product to others! Thank you Butterly and YSL for the opportunity to try this amazing lipstick!!

It’s a three-in-one!

Very impressed with YSL’s Loveshine Lipstick. It’s one of the most comfortable lipsticks I’ve ever worn. It has the feel of a luxury lipstick, the shine of a lipgloss and the added moisture of a lip balm! I love that. It has the lip oil, but does not feel oily. What a fantastic colour range as well! The colours are slightly muted bringing a natural look. Thank you @Butterly for including me and your campaign to try YSL’s new lipsticks.

My New Favourite Lip Product

My favorite thing about this lipstick is the easy application process, it effortlessly glides across your lips leaving behind a highly pigmented and super shiny beautiful nude color. Most lip oils feel sticky and I’m not usually a fan, however, this one absolutely does not. My lips feel moisturized and hydrated throughout the day with this product on. The only downside is having to reapply it a few times throughout the day, and it has a pretty expensive price point. Otherwise, an absolutely wonderful lip product!
