Too drying

Bought this toner as I wanted one with brightening properties and this claimed to do that. I used it for a week and had to stop. The unpleasant scent is too strong and over powering. I was breaking out like crazy and couldn't figure out why. This toner was the only new product that I was using so determined it to be the source of my acne. When I looked at the ingredient list, alcohol is listed as the second ingredient. No wonder why my skin was overly dry using this that I broke out. Once I stopped and went back to my regular toner from another brand, my skin is slowly recovering. Didn't use it long enough to determine its brightening effects. Would not recommend this product.
