I first went to the Kind Exchange to drop off some of my old clothes, and while I had a huge suitcase full, they only took a few pieces. That being said, I threw everything into my suitcase so there was probably a lot of junk! I started following them on Instagram, where they frequently post awesome stuff in-store either alone or styled in cute outfits. That's when I saw an amazing pair of Sorels available for only $50!! Bonus, they were my size, they looked close to new and they were 40% off for a weekend sale! Best deal I've ever made! Great store.
King Exchange is a used clothing store, with multiple locations in Toronto (the one I have gone into is on Queen West).
They have a variety of shoes, tops, dresses, pants, skirts etc. all with VERY reasonable prices. They have many vintage pieces, as well as everyday used clothing. They look at everything before they accept it into the store, so everything I looked at seemed in good condition. They aim to get in seasonal & trendy clothing as well to satisfy their customers. Popular season items (eg. denim cut off shorts for summer) go quickly! they are constantly getting new merchandise so it is always fun to look around in.
I'm not the greatest with envisioning vintage pieces in my wardrobe, so I didn't have much luck finding anything for myself, but I have friends who have found plenty.
What I especially love about this store is that you can bring in a bag of clothes, and they will take a look at what they want and give you cash (or store credit) for it (note they don't accept business attire or formal dresses).
This place is definitely worth a look when you're in the area, and for people who love finding fun, or unique pieces (or trendy pieces for a great deal) take a look!!
I really like that you are able to bring in clothes- BUT warning to all, they will not give you a good price for the few items they may take from you. I recently tried to bring in a bag of (nice & gently used, new style) clothing, and was offered just over ten dollars. This place is great for shopping at, but if you want to sell your clothes to a used clothing store, choose a different one
