    No quality for high price - very disappointing

    I bought a light sweater shirt which had a fine knit pattern. Wore it once and within 2 hours, it started getting snags and pilling. I was not wearing velcrow or any other materials that would be causing such damage. Clearly there was little thought made into the quality of the fibers used to make the knit pattern. It was not cheap price-wise. I will never buy another product from this store. Very disappointing.

    I love the dresses and sweaters here! But other then that... that's it. Last time i stepped foot in one I needed help to get my size dress from the top shelf and the lady said "you sure, you have broad shoulders it will look kinda funny on you"... ya thanks for the self esteem booster. Never went back! Worst customer service ever, definitely not worth your time or money.

    Went in yesterday, Black Friday, to look for a dress for a winter formal with my daughter. The dress she wanted to try on was too high to reach so I ask the young sales girl as she was walking by if she was busy and her reply was "I'm ALWAYS busy". Then I asked her if she could get the dress in 2 different sizes so my daughter could try them on. She walked into the change room directly behind us and said she had just brought these down for another customer to try on. We felt like it was a huge inconvenience for her to help us. Never asked how we were doing or if we needed any more help even though she walked passed us several times. When we came into the store we were prepared to buy a dress, more likely 2, one for the formal and one for Christmas. Even though the dress fit, the service was horrible. I've worked in retail so know what it is like. Their employees need better training on customer service. We left without any dresses but proceed to buy a bass guitar at a place where the service was amazing. More than happy to spend $400 where you feel like they want your business. Will not shop at Le Chateau again.

    This was some of the worst service I have had the unfortunate adventure of running into in a very very long time. It was actually so bad that I made a phone call into the head office.
    I went in with $2000 to spend on dresses and walked out with $2000.
    The young lady they had working their was terribly snotty and when I asked for help with a dress I could not reach, she simply said, "I'm sorry, it's my break" and went back to texting on her cell phone.
    After my head office call, it turns out the lady was not on a break.. plain and simply a rude employee.

    Went in to buy shoes for my wedding with my mother and the blonde lady working there made us both feel VERY unwelcome and had horrible customer relations skills. At one point she actually marched around the store asking who had left their coffee on a shelf (it wasnt us). We felt so uncomfortable that we almost left without the shoes. I left a complaint with their customer service people and they apologized. I had to order the shoes in a different color and when the order came in, I went in to the store for pickup. I went in and was immediately confronted and embarrassed about the incident in front of other customers in the store. She said that I had probably misread her and she had no idea what I had complained about... basically insinuating it was MY fault I had a bad experience! I was so mortified I left the store near tears and my fiance is in the process of writing in another complaint! They really need to up their game... this woman is a nightmare!!!!

    After shopping at Le Chateau for years, my wife and I had a horrendous experience dealing with an employee when returning a pair of pants. My wife had discovered a split seam while putting on the pants for the first time so we returned to the store to request an exchange for an identical pair but she was accused of tearing the pants herself and made to feel very uncomfortable. We will likely never return to this store.

    Le Chateau is hit and miss with me.

    The clothing is really beautiful, and their shoes & accessories are to die for - but the pricing is outrageous. For the most simple of clothing styles, the prices are more than double compared to other similar stores. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but I find they aren't very attentive. You have to go and find them, not vice versa.

    Overall, this is not a store that I recommend on a regular basis.

    First off I love the LOOK of their clothes BUT their prices are sky high! Who can afford to pay $98 for a plain white shirt let alone if you were looking at one of their fancier dresses. Even their sale rack caught my attention until I noticed a price tag, $19.99 for a plain cotton spagetti strap under shirt! Holy crap! they cost $4 at giant tiger for the exact same thing and the quality looked to be about the same to me! There clothing is beautiful to look at and there shoes and accessories are to die for but its totally unaffordable on a regular budget.

    Le Chateau is a huge rip off!!!! The quality of their clothing is comparable to stitches yet their prices are through the roof! If you want to pay that kind of money shop somewhere like French connection or Zara their products are much higher quality and more original. Le chateau sells overly trendy, shiny, poor quality merchandise. I have very small feet and needed a pair of shoes for a Christmas party. I shopped at the last minute and le Chateau was the only place that had some size five heels. I tried them on quickly and they seemed fine so i bought them. When it came time to dress for that night I found that with my stockings the heels were too big and literally came right off my feet. I also bought a clutch from them for the party and decided not to use it either since most people were bringing their purses. When i went to return these items (unused) the girl told me the shoes looked "worn" and the purse's tag was missing (it was missing when i bought it and she had, had to retrieve another purse to scan in order to sell me that one) the girl refused to accept an exchange on either item and was verrrrrrrrry rude to me (i did not even argue only saying once that i had only tried the shoes on in the store and in my living room) i will never shop their again! bad product, bad service, bad prices. a glorified junk shop.

    Le Chateau has always been my staple store for accessories - in nearly every store, you can find at least one rack full of sale items, and you can stock up on really cute and interesting items to add some pep to your look. Accessories are the cheapest way to make an old outfit look new, and I'm always able to do that with Le Chat.

    When it comes to their clothing, they've definitely upped the style factor in the last few years. I like how the store is stylistically separated into 'career', 'dressy', and 'streetwear' type areas, so it's easy to zero in on what you're looking for. I've received decent service from the sales reps, with some stores being better than others, but it's pretty much a self-serve store. Like one of the other chicks mentioned, they really need to upgrade their return policy. When you're in a recession, it's an ancient idea to not get your money back if you change your mind on a purchase...just my 2 cents!
