Hits the spot!

Hubby and I just moved out to Oshawa, and I found out my friend had moved to Whitby! She’s my Pho date gf. We spent days searching for just the right pho restaurant in Durham. She’s vegan, so we always had to find a pho restaurant that had a great vegan option. We’d been to a couple and honestly... they just served her hot water as the broth. Didn’t help their cases whenever mine came out bland also. We had high expectations. Especially having had pho in Toronto. We were so disappointed.

Until we came across Pho Metro in Ajax. She gives their vegan option 5* and even goes without me now. ): Their broth is just right, not too salty not too bland. Their service is fantastic too, they’re quick. ... I highly recommend this location. Talking about it is making me crave it.

The Ajax location is my go to for Vietnamese!

We pass right by this location on our way home from work, so it has become a frequent quick dinner. I've tried the pho, wings, cold rolls and the combo plate (noodles, meat, spring roll, shrimp on sugar cane), but my favourite is the wonton noodle soup! We will call ahead about 10 minutes, pick it up and drive home, and it is still steaming hot 30 min after pick up. The flavours are great, portions are big and service is good too although I've never eaten in the restaurant.

Pho metro is my go to Vietnamese restaurant in mid-town Scarborough (warden / Lawrence). The "bun" is big with a generous amount of toppings. Their fried spring rolls are like no other in the city. You can take it to go and it will still be fresh when you get home!

Delicious Vietnamese food. The service has left a lot to be desired in the past but they seem to have new wait staff that are a lot better. Love the "bun" plate choices myself. The pork Christmas Vienna and beef are all excellent. They don't have a liquor licence FYI.
