reviews When buying this product I recommend buying the set because you get more for your money that way. This foundation is all natural and does not clog the pores, I us it and it makes my redness on my cheeks, nose, and chin disappear. It gives a even complexion unlike liquid foundation wear you have to add to your neck so it does to look like you are two toned. This foundation you do not have to do it, just apply to your face and your are done. You an even you this also as a councilor s well. I've given it a fair chance and I just don't like it. My face just does not hold on the powder. It looks like I have no makeup on even after I have applied like 3 coats. Definately will stick to the liquid foundation for full coverage. However the bronzer from bare essentials is amazing. I was at Ulta and the sales associate convinced me to try Bare Escentuals. So, I bought the get started kit, took it home, and tried it out. I admit it did take a little getting used to. I used to use a cream pancake type foundation and this application is a bit different. I just tapped a little bit into the lid, swirled the brush, tapped off the excess, and buffed it in. I think at first I made the mistake of using too much foundation and I found that a little goes a long way. It is perfect for my skin, and I do use a primer before applying. I also have dark circles and I find that I don't need to use concealer. I love this product and I won't ever use a liquid or cream foundation again. reviews Not impressed. After all the hype, I finally go out and drop the cash to give this a try. I bought the starter kit in medium. It stays on, but blemishes are evident after a few hours. If you re-apply it starts to look cakey. I may be the only person in the world that doesn't like this product, but I have found that the Maybelline mineral powder foundation is just as good, but with better coverage and a fraction of the price. You just have to work so hard with the little brush to get a good even coverage. Too much work and too little results. It feels great on my skin, stays on well during the day. The whole set works great together. I have tried other mineral make up but I think this one is superior. reviews I bought the Get Started kit because a co-worker raved about it. I have sensitive skin, so normally have a really hard time finding foundation that isn't irritating. Bare Escentuals didn't irritate my skin, but wasn't very flattering. It looked like it was floating over my skin, so you could tell my skin was dry in spots and red in others. It didn't blend well, and was overall not very good coverage. If you have normal, non-dry or ruddy skin, this might be fine for you, but it just doesn't work for me. I was really disappointed. It would make me break out, or i could feel my skin not breathing. Plus I have a great natural blush, but wanted to tone down some redness or fix imperfections. So when I tried Bare Minerals I found everything I wanted, it is great with my skin, it looks natural, and it doesn't feel like I am wearing makeup. Plus the act of brushing the mineral on your face is like a little spa treatment! I will never go back to liquid foundation again. Plus the price is low, a little goes a very long way. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this product! [ back to top ] This review is the subjective opinion of a ChickAdvisor member and not of ChickAdvisor Inc. I got this product because i wanted light coverage. I didnt really like it because i couldnt find a shade that worked best with me. I also didnt find the coverage as good as MACs Studio Fix. But it is great if you have break outs i know. I would recommend this product if you can find your shade and are looking for light coverage. I also recommend getting the mineral brush because i think that it does apply the product better than a normal brush. I was recommended to this product from a couple of friends and I was hesitant at first because I was not the type to wear make up everyday. But I actually found this product really easy to use (and it was kind of fun)! It doesn't feel like make up and it is light. I bought the Starter Kit from Sephora as well as another smaller set from The Shopping Channel. I think this product is good for women that do not have alot of time to get ready in the morning, are interested in the natural look and are looking for a light to medium coverage. The only downfall is that this product is quite pricey. [ back to top ] This review is the subjective opinion of a ChickAdvisor member and not of ChickAdvisor Inc. | ||
