I found the toys were too close to the babies face and they felt heavy, I was scared if they fell off they would hurt her :(

My son and daughter didn't seem to enjoy this play mat. Not sure if the toys hang a little too close to their faces or if it's over stimulating. The nice thing is that the toys come off and they can play with them.

I think a playmat in general is great for little babies. My daughter started using and enjoying the playmat at about 2 months and can keep her self happy and occupied on it for ages (she's 4 months now). I like this one because of the mirror and music functions. The parent has to turn the music on, which is nice, because the song is really long. This mat has lots of hooks for adding extra toys, which is great because you can customize it to some degree. Plus the jungle theme is really cute and gender neutral.
