Bier Markt - Toronto

Bier Markt is definitely the place to go if you are a beer lover or love to try and experiment with new beer flavours. They have a huge variety of beer and a great selection of beers from all over the world. If you want to test out something new, feel free to ask your server about the beers and what they'd recommend for you.

The food is good but pricey and I don't know if it's quite worth it. It's tasty but not amazingly incredible. I would recommend skipping food and just going for drinks instead. The service is good, friendly and they are knowledgeable about beers.

The patio is great and they even have live music sometimes. They're pretty big bars too which is nice when you aren't in the mood for a crowded, hot room.

I've been to the Bier Markt several times, the one on Wellington St. It's a great place to have a large group celebration. Instead of trying to cram into a tiny bar, or losing track of everyone in a giant club, here you get the best of both worlds.

It is a huge venue, they've got tables and chairs everywhere, and a dance floor if you feel like jamming down. The live bands are usually pretty good. They play a lot of covers, so don't worry about not knowing their songs.

The food is good, but nothing can top their beer selection. They organize the beers by country, so you get to taste a lot of exotic beers that aren't carried by the LCBO.

went for the first time to test the waters with a girlfriend and ordered these themes carousels of beer ( five half pints on five glass holder sort of contraption with themes such as around the world, belgian etc)..long story short we got there at 4ish and left around ten or 11, and even then it was difficult to leave.
while the food is to pricey for student budget, the frites are great and the entertainment is even better on weekend nights where there usually is a live band playing crowd favourites. i have been there many times since my first visit and recommend it to everyone i know.

I'm surprised to see that there are no reviews on the Bier Markt. I went there last week and had a great time. We drank beer and tried the food. Their Beer menu is extensive and everyone can find something they like or want to try as they have many european beers. We also ordered appetizers for the table and though they were on the expensive side they were worth every penny and tasted great. It's a fabulous place to get together with friends for a drink! They have a location on the Esplanade and on King St. W.
