Eggspectation - Ottawa

We like going there because it has a friendly atmosphere and the place is nice. The food and the service are very good. However, compared to Cora's, I find Eggspectations a little overpriced. But we always go back because we do love the restaurant and our experience there has always been good.

I have eaten at a couple of different locations for this restaurant chain and I find that its overpriced for what you get. When the menu say's "side of fruit" they really mean "fruit garnish", in my experience its a watered down version fo Cora's, where a side of fruit means a huge serving of fresh and seasonal fruits for the same price or less. I was not impressed at all with the meals.

Excellent food and excellent service! They have a main floor and loft style seating above..so generally the wait time isn't very long. The downside: I find it a little noisy because the 2 floors aren't separated by a buffer... but no worries it's expeggted on an early morning sunday.

People have suggested this place to me once or twice, but I have always declined. It just didn't look like a great place (or sound like one) from the outside. Finally I went in today and I was pleasantly surprised! The service was fast and friendly, and the food was really good too. I don't think many people know about it and would just pass it by like I used to, because we were able to get a table during peak hours so easily. Like Cora's, it's only open until 3:00pm, but their business card says that "private evening group parties are available". I think you would have to actually call ahead and plan it out first though, otherwise you wont get anything.

I would defiantly come here more often now that I have actually been.
