Freecycle is available in all lower mainland (metro Vancouver) areas through Yahoo. There was a story about the group on CTV with Olsen on your side. To view the story and streaming video go to http://tinyurl.com/22mbj7

I've been able to get some great stuff. You don't have to sign up for any e-mail but do have to have a Yahoo account to join the group. You have the option of individual e-mails, digest e-mails or no e-mails and only view the site.

If you want to get rid of a bunch of stuff for free and are willing to meet or have people pick up from your location then this is the site for you. It's nicer to give directly to people who want an item than to get a charity or reseller to try and sell your item then possibly have to throw it out anyway.
