Java House is a great little coffee shop and restaurant. There's always somewhere to sit, the menu is varied and extremely inexpensive, and the atmosphere is both funky and chilled. They have a great patio where you can watch the foot traffic on Queen. They have great drink and entree deals, and I believe they do student discounts on their already super cheap fare. The food is tasty, the veggie sandwich, the brie sandwich, the noodles, and the fresh smoothies are fantastic! If you're a tea fan, they have a whole wall of tea selections! The place is not upscale by any stretch of the imagination, but it's certainly got character! I doubt if you'll find any business men, unless they've got a lot of tattoos! It's definitely suited to Queen West -I love it!! 537 Queen Street West, at Augusta
