I went for my first time and asked for low lites to darken for the fall and left with light blonde hair? Spent over $350 for lighter instead of darker hair. They are over priced and snotty.
Believe me if I could rate it lower I would. Expensive, annoying, slow and shitty. The owner tried to push her own real estate business on me while I was paying. My shellac was done extremely slowly and for some reason they went sparingly on the color (only 2 coats). It was extremely slow and they didn't even cut the cuticles. My eyebrows were threaded in the most painful, slow and unprofessional manner ever. The lady was very sweet but she could not understand a word I was saying, I swear. And it seemed like she did not know what she was doing, where her stuff was and so forth. Then the owner started commenting on my hair and curled it even though I had asked for ironing it. At the end she took scissors and cut off a few pieces of my hair because she said it looked messy. Worst experience ever. I went there because I was in a rush and didn't care about the price at the time but I paid well over $100 in total, plus the tip.
great service right from the start. very friendly. i wasnt sure what to get and they had no problem giving me ideas. they didnt rush the job and stayed well after hours to accomodate me and my friends. i strongly reccomend this place and will 100% be going back.
It was the most brilliant amazing color job and cut job I have ever gotten. I usually get a hair cut and color every 8 months so I have previous experience getting my hair done at different salons around toronto. I am student so i try to supplement the total cost by purchasing a groupon and then paying whatever additional on top for my length.
The hair colorist kat was not only incredibly professional but also carries the personal mantra of constantly learning and making herself better in her field. This level of professional attitude is very rare. She is an artist who looked like she loved doing my hair. I go in with pictures and hair styles to all my appointments and I usually never get what I wanted with a side dose of " this will look better". Its never exactly right. but Kat took what I told her and with a few minor adjustments gave me the exact tone and shade that I wanted. I say this also because, I am sure its probably hard to look at a picture and say give me that. but she did.
if you litterly want celebrity like locks for a decent price, try this salon out. Its located in the bay-bloor region ( yorkville) on scollard street. The interior decoration is the most hipster eclectic mixture of baby blue green with gold accents and light bronze with rose gold undertones with chandeliers and amazing smells.
They also operate by a referral process so if you want to save money and get a world class haircolor job find a way to reply back to me and I can give you my referral ( I don't get anything out of it lol). I litterly loved both the colorist kat and the stylist kim ( also the owner- how many master stylists take the time to actually work on groupon customers fyi?- seriously think about it). They are professional, good and care about the environment. As a hipster, this is my kind of place. also, I am not posting pictures here because too public, but I will be posting it on the salon's facebook page ( a before and after)- Look for Sam's transformation.
Fb: oskar on scollard.
Have a happy day.
Unfortunately, my experience at Azan's left me with about a 50% hair loss to my scalp. They offered free treatments but did not fulfill their promise. My dermatologist confirmed that my hair will NOT grow back. I will never use Azan's nor recommend this facility to anyone. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for. Be warned!
I had a bit of a colour disaster and Rebecca fixed it up beautifully. She really listened to what I wanted and I love the results!
All the staff were very friendly and the space is chic but relaxed and comfortable. I will definitely be back and would refer friends.
The staff is so polite, friendly and helpful. The services they offer are great, and the atmosphere is fantastic; very relaxing, quiet and the staff look so professional.
Flaunt Boutique in Leslieville has such a great vibe!! Everyone was super cool, had my hair blown out and a OPI Gel Manicure. Great way to start the weekend! ...was even offered a glass of wine! shhh ;)
