100% of Chicks dig it
We came here on the recommendation of some friends. Le Cartet is open for lunch, dinner and brunch. We were originally planning on having dinner here, but when we went by on a Wednesday night at around 8 it was pretty quiet so we came back for lunch the next day instead.
Le Cartet is the perfect fusion of style and gourmet food. There are so many restaurants of this caliber in the city, but Le Cartet is especially good. The salmon tartar infused with sesame oil and served with salad, and the fresh tomato gazpacho are divine. I ordered the goat cheese salad encrusted with almonds and figs, which tasted like a piece of warm cheesecake. It was more of a desert than a salad, since there were only about 5 leaves of lettuce on my plate (my one gripe), but it was so good I didn't really care.
The ambiance is cool/chic with lounge electronica music, dim lighting and white washed walls. Our service was excellent and the pricing reasonable. Our lunch was approximately $60, which included two soups, two entrees and a glass of wine each. Overall we found Le Cartet to be inspiring.
