Mongos Grill - Winnipeg

loooove this restaurant. I originally kept putting off going because I thought it would be a bit expensive, but the prices are amazing. My husband and I both went, each got a meal, shared a dessert, pop and a smoothie and it only came to like $40, which is amaaaazing! I love that you choose exactly what goes in the meal as well. I admit that i'm one of those people that modify the crap out of my meals at restaurants, so I'm happy that I dont have to annoy any servers when I go out to eat at mongos. Not to mention, since you get to choose all your ingredients, you can satisfy all your cravings at once!

Mongos is an all you can eat stir fry buffet, with plenty of options. Start with a bowl and fill it with vegetables (over 20 choices), meats, seafood, spices, sauces and noodles, then watch it get cooked up on a grill in front of you. You also have the option of adding rice or making it in to a wrap. Perfect for those picky eaters, you choose every ingredient that goes in to your bowl. Hate mushrooms and peppers...leave them out, love carrots and peas, pile them on.
The Mongos staff is really friendly, and make it a fun atmosphere to dine. The chef's at the grill are fun to watch, for example, tossing bowls of rice across the grill to one another.
Also offered is a salad bar, specialty coffees, and desserts that look amazing (I've yet to try one yet..always too full after my meal). Take-out and cheaper lunch prices are also a bonus.
It's my favourite restaurant, and I tell everyone they need to check it out!
