Its main ingredient is caramel to enhance its colour but there is not a lot of soya sauce taste to this. I tried to use this for a teriyaki type sauce I make and I ran out of another brand of thick soya sauce I use so I tried to use this. It's got a good thick consistence you and can provide colour but needs more flavor
