I absolutely love my iPhone 3G. It's not just the phone, but all the great apps Apple and the developers offer. Sometimes for just $0.99, you can get great games and great productivity apps. I love games such as touchPhysics, Rolando, PAC MAN, etc. iTune store recently added a great app for all hotmail users too.
I'm sure everyone has heard about this phone by now. I was completely bummed when my iPod was stolen from my car, then my craptastic cell phone died on me. Fortunately I was eligible for an upgrade so I only paid $200 for this iPhone. This thing has it all! It even has an iPod too! There are tons of free and not free applications to fit every person's lifestyle. You can take photos, although the camera takes some getting used to before you start snapping decent pics. The phone actually learns your typing style and word usage for typing and texting. Did I mention it has GPS too?! Fortunately I will not be getting lost any time soon!
I got my iPhone a few months ago after lusting after my husband's, and I absolutely LOVE IT! I can access whatever websites I need to visit very easily via the real web browser, and the text messaging interface is excellent, as is the email interface. I love being able to watch YouTube whenever I need a break, and I can even keep some tunes on it as well, as there is a built-in iPod.
By far, the most valuable thing for me is being able to store photos. Since I'm a photographer, it's great to have an easy, quick way to share my work with people when I'm not at the office. I can store thousands of photos with all the space I have on my iPhone. The calendar, notes, calculator, and contact manager applications are also extremely useful for me and really help me out with taking care of business or keeping in touch with friends.
As for the non-business side, there are some fun games like Bejeweled or Sudoku that have been developed for the phone, when you just want to use it as a toy!
I highly recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a cool, sleek looking PDA style phone.
The only two downsides is that it runs on AT&T's Edge network which can get slow occasionally, and as of today, it cannot accept MMS (photo messages), but Apple is working on finding solutions to both of these things, so it's not much of a big deal to me and still VERY well worth it!
