Just ok for me

I received this product complimentary of chick advisor for testing and reviewing purposes. I applied the mask in a thick layer as recommended, which I’m glad I did because it was tough to get started on removal. The mask took about 10 minutes to dry and dried in a clear plastic look. It was painful to remove around my eyes and nose and hairline. Pros: it mattified like it said it would. Cute colour product. Removed in one full peel.
Cons: needed to use a TON of product to get a good layer. Tough to begin peel at first. Wasn’t super effective.

Painful peel

Although aveeno is one of my favourite products to use this mask was not one of them!!! This was so painful to peel off I felt like I lost a whole layer of my skin with the mask!! My skin is sensitive and this was not a good product for that. My skin is soft but not bright red from the removal of this mask

a decent peel of mask

The Aveeno Peel off Face mask was a decent face mask. it was easy to apply, a little difficult to take off as the mask get clingy to my face and it hurt in some spots on my face when I tried to get it off. because of the many uses you get from the bottle I say it is a good value, the reason I am recommending this mask is because I like how it made my face feel. if felt light and my face was fresh after using it. I do prefer peel of masks over other forms of masks as they are east to use and this one will be staying on my vanity for a bit.

It's an okay mask, but not the best I've tried

I was sent this mask free to review from Chick Advisor. It retails at about $13 CAD and is supposed to be ideal for people with oily skin. I've tried the product a couple times now, and I can't say I'm 'wowed' by it. It's honestly quite average in comparison to the other drugstore peel off masks that I've tried by other brands (ie. Bioré, Neutrogena, etc). I didn't find that it did the best job at mattifying my face or clearing my oily T-zone. My face felt clean and a little moisturized after, and I'm more used to peel off masks that target oily skin leaving my face a little dryer.

It applies easily and even though it's blue when it comes out of the bottle, it goes on quite sheer. It's very tacky/gooey and a little difficult to wash from your hands when it's still wet. Peeling it off is easy-ish. You have to use a thick even layer otherwise you will have a hard time peeling it off in one try. Because it dries very thin, you'll have to kind of pick at an edge or rub it a little create a part that you can start peeling from. It wasn't painful to peel off, but you definitely don't want to get it near your hairline (which can be difficult to manage because it's sheer while applying, so you can't always tell how close you've gotten it to your eyebrows, and can be difficult to remove).

Not the best peel off mask I've used, but not the worst. Kind of a meh product, and I probably wouldn't purchase it myself.

Cool concept

I have never used a peel off mask before and I have to say, I think its a really cool idea. It is a little difficult to apply as it has a very sticky, glue-like texture. It does dry down rather quickly which would make this a convenient mask to do in the morning before applying makeup or when you are running short on time. I did find that my face felt soft and clean after use. My only issue with this is I found it hard to peel off. It seemed to peel off in little clumps so I ended up just rinsing it off which worked fine. I think in order to have it peel off better, a thicker layer may be needed. I will try that next time I use the mask. Otherwise, this is a unique face mask and I will add it to my mask rotation.

Difficult to peel off face mask

I love Aveeno products and did not hesitate to try the Aveeno Clear Complexion Purely Matte Peel Off Mask. I followed the instructions and applied a generous amount and let it dry for 15-20 minutes. Once the mask was dry and I was ready to remove it, I found that it dried to a too-thin layer and it was very difficult and time-consuming to peel off. I did like that it smoothed the surface of my skin. If this face mask was reformulated to dry to a thicker layer that’s easier to peel off, I would consider using it again. #gotitfree

Didn’t Notice A Difference

I feel like the price of this was way too high for how little you get. You really only get 2 uses out of it. It was hard to spread onto my skin. Hurts to peel off and I didn’t see much of a difference in my skin.
