Lighter than a cream, more of a lotion

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I was so excited to try this gel cream because my son has eczema and I find a lot of creams out there tend to be so greasy and hard to apply. This gel cream promises a 24hr hydration, lightweight and suitable for all skin with gentle scent. I do agree with some of these claims. Upon application on my son's skin for a full week, I found that it was not enough hydration. I would say the consistency is definitely more of a gel lotion as it is lightweight and definitely absorbed well. So the 24hr claim did not work for my son as after I applied the gel, it soaked it up so quickly but left the skin still needing more immediately after. I ended up adding a cream after to ensure if lasted. I did like that it was gentle enough for my son's eczema despite having a scent. It did not flair it up nor did it make it better. The scent I personally didn't care for but it is a light floral scent. I wished they selected a scent more suitable for kids. This product is definitely more suitable for sensitive, normal and oily skin types, not thick enough for dry/dehydrated skin. Overall it is an okay attempt for gel cream but really it should be re-labelled as gel lotion.

Moisturizing cream

The Aveeno Kids Body and Face Gel Cream does a good job of moisturizing my kids' skin. The cream dried quickly and was not oily/sticky. However, I personally found the scent of the perfume to be WAY too strong 😑 My husband literally said it smells like men's products.

Not hydrating enough

I liked this lotion, it was easy for my son to apply to his face and body. He has normal to dry skin and can sometimes get very small eczema flair ups. The reason I'm not fully sold is because it wasn't as hydrating as I would like it to be. He didn't look dry or ashy once it was applied but his skin did look a little dull. I didn't see him scratching though, so that is a good sign.

Gel Cream

I received the product for free for my review. I am not sure how I feel about the gel cream. I like their regular cream format. I have used that on my daughter for years. I am not sure how effective the gel is effective on hydrating. It absorbs fast and no greasy residue. I guess it is hydrating the skin. It is hard to tell. There is hardly any scent. My daughter didn't break out using it so that is good.

Yes for the body, no for the face

Cons:
not good on the face as it irritated my little one's face and developed rash that lasted 24 hours.

Don't recommend applying it on the face.

Great for kids

I received a free product of Aveeno kids sensitive skin body and face gel cream, I liked that it was specially designed for kids, and it’s lightweight and not oily, so it’s great for your face and contains probiotic oat formulas and it left our skin, it had a nice light scent but I found that it made my hands sticky after applying it,

Irritated eczema

I suffer from chronic eczema. I wanted to try this to see if it would help. It didn’t, it caused a flare up within hours. I do not recommend if you suffer from eczema.

Goes on smooth, but scent too strong

This felt really nice on the skin, however the scent is a bit too strong to be used on skin and especially on kids... the texture is really nice though.

Not for eczema prone skin

I was excited to recieve this product to test as I have purchased many various lotions to attempt to treat his eczema flare ups during the colder months. Unfortunately once I applied the Aveeno kids sensitive skin gel cream to his wrists he immediately requested I remove it. However my daughter who does not have eczema did not have any issues wearing this product and her skin was very soft after the application.

Does it’s job

The light smell and the product itself was ok considering the absorption to the skin but we prefer the aveeno cream rather than the gel cream because we find it more effective with the way it feels on the skin. My son has really dry skin and felt the cream helped his skin more then the gel cream. We will be continuing With our current skin care routine.
