When I'm sporting a really great tan [after a tropical vacation away] then this product is great, but with out some serious sun time to tan my skin first, this product was a little too dark on me and make me look slightly orange. Recommend for darker skin tones.
Hoola is one of the bronzers I always go back to you. I've tried MANY bronzers but Benefit is still my fave. I love the packaging although not always functional when you carry your kit around. The amount of product in the box lasts for a long time. I've had my for a couple of years. The matte texture gives you a natural bronzy finish. I also like to use this for contouring. I don't use the brush and prefer to use a round brush to mimic a faux tan. The brush is good when you're in a pinch and want to retouch throughout the day. Stays on really well and it's easy to blend! A staple and a cult classic for me!
If you are a makeup artist this is a great bronzer for warming up the skin without the "hot spot" effect.
I loved this bronzer, but only if i use it lightly. If you use too much it will make you look flat and brown/muddy, not glowing. The bronzer doesn't have any shimmer or sparkle to it, which is why if you use too much it will just looked caked on and gross. But using is sparingly, it can to wonders. I also have a warmer undertone to my skin so this bronzer may not be the best for me, but what I did is on top of it i applied a little blush to the apples of my cheeks and it really made my face pop and glow. As a go to bronzer to swipe on for every occasion, I have experienced many better, and some that cost a fourth of the price.
*Price: I give this a 3/5 stars because it's an average price for a higher-end bronzer.
*Quality: I give this a 4/5 stars because it's a high-end brand and it shows in its packaging, pigmentation, and staying power.
*Effectiveness: I give this a 1/5 stars because I have a tan complexion with a warm undertone and this bronzer made me look "muddy".
-Extra notes: This could very well work for someone with cool undertones. I just don't think it works well for warm undertones. Also, I recommend getting a different bronzer brush. The one that comes in the packaging is quite scratchy and won't really effectively distribute the bronzer properly.
This is the product that turned me on to Benefit! I've been using this bronzing powder for almost three years now. I use it year-round for some glow, especially in the winter months when I'm susceptible to being sickly pale! It makes your face radiant and I like to use it under my cheekbones to make them pop a bit :)
