Fabulous, just doesn't last that long

I used to clean my floors on my hands and knees every week. That was the only way I felt they were clean. Due to a back injury, that was no longer an option. My husband bought me the Bissell Powerfresh Steam mop as a solution. I had tried a different brand before and felt it did not meet my expectations.

The Powerfresh mop is lightweight, cleans right up to the baseboards, steams on its own without having to press any buttons or triggers. It is easy to fill & holds enough water to do all my floors at once. It has an extra scrubby foot that flips down, I find just a light press with the foot on this part really helps for stubborn spots. The 3 steam settings allow me to adjust the heat for different floor sufaces. We have vinyl planking that can handle the highest level, but our laminate is better with the medium setting. I love being able to clean with steam, it feels good knowing everything is sanitized without chemicals. The Powerfresh mop does a fabulous job cleaning!

It is a little more work making sure the floors are well swiffered first to get rid of debris as the mop doesnt pick up much more than just dust.

I love my steam mop, however after just over a year or so, it stopped creating steam & would leak water, burning my feet. I eventually caved and bought another one. I did keep the fill cup from my old one, hoping that if/when this new one breaks down, it will be an easy fix.

This unit feels much sturdier than anything in the shark line. I love the continuous steam and the long cord. YOu can also choose a lot or a little steam.

The main thin that I don't like about the unit is that it takes about 30 seconds after plugging it in before you can start using it. I get that it needs to start creating steam, but even if the plug accidentally jiggles loose you have to wait the 30 seconds even though the unit is hot already.
