Staying safe in the sun

Having fun and staying safe in the sun is a top priority of mine for my daughter. She spends more time outdoors than indoors, so protecting her sensitive skin is something I do every time we head outdoors. I love this scent free sunscreen because it means no skin irritation. It’s water resistant up to 80 minutes which means I don’t need to apply it as often so my daughter has more time to play. The product claims to be trusted by pediatricians which makes it an easy choice as a parent to trust the ingredients.

Great consistent - kid didn't flinch!

One of the best mineral sunscreens I've tried (with a great spf number, also!!!)
The consistency wasn't too runny or too think and it rubbed in great with almost zero white residue.
Best thing about it was that my child didn't mind me putting it on at all!
It washed off pretty easily in the bath that night with a bit of soap and scrubbing also - this part my child liked least!
The size was perfect also to stick in a bag for reapplication. So far - no sunburns!
I think I'm going to try different versions of this brand for my other kids and myself as well. I'm very impressed!

Reliable and gentle for my kids

As a mom of two, I’m picky about sunscreen and Blue Lizard Kids SPF 50 has become our go-to. It’s thick, so takes a little effort to rub in, but it stays put and really protects their skin, especially on long outdoor days.

Both of my kids have sensitive skin, and this is one of the only sunscreens that doesn’t cause any irritation. I love that it’s fragrance-free and mineral-based, and the UV-sensitive cap is a fun bonus for them (and a good reminder for me to reapply!)

New formula is better

This Blue Lizard Mineral SPF 50 sunscreen lotion for kids has a new formula. It is wonderful because I have tried it in the past with my kids and their skin reacted to it with a rash, this time not. It still has the same broad spectrum sun protection and reef friendly which is always what I’m looking for in sun protection. The formula isn’t sticky, but does leave a white cast for a couple minutes. That is to be expected though with this natural type of sun protection. Overall I would recommend!

Perfect for the kiddos!

I love this sunscreen, it's perfect for kids! It isn't sticky and absorbs into the skin super fast! I applied it once and it lasted my children all day in the sun, definitely recommend this sunscreen if you want something good for your kids skin and the planet that does the job right!

Great kids sunscreen

My daughter has some sensitive skin around the face area and it seems like this sunscreen reacts well to her ! We will be using this all summer to prevent a sunburn!

Great kid approved sunscreen

We have never tried a mineral based sunscreen before so we’re really excited to get the chance to try the Blue Lizard brand and see whether we liked it or not!

It was easy to apply, no white streaks and it lasted which is key for my active kiddos. I liked that it felt light going in yet worked so efficiently. My kids didn’t fuss about reapplying after about an hour and a half of it being on and with camp right around the corner, I’ll be making sure each kid has one of these bottles in their backpacks all summer long! Highly recommend getting one to try!

Literally one of best sunscreens out there

I was so excited to try out the Blue Lizard Kids Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 on my son since I fell in love with the brand for myself a couple years ago.

The first thing that caught my eyes is that it feels pretty thick going on, which you kind of expect with a mineral sunscreen. It definitely takes a little more rubbing in than those thinner, chemical ones. But once it's on, it seems to create a really good barrier.

I like that it's mineral-based with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide – feels better putting that on the kiddo's sensitive skin. Plus, it's fragrance-free, which is a win for us.

The coolest thing is the "Smart Cap"! It turns blue in UV light, which is a handy little reminder to slather on more. My kiddo actually thinks it's fun, so that's a bonus in getting them to cooperate.

It claims to be water-resistant for 80 minutes, and it seemed to hold up pretty well during some splashy playtime. No sunburns, so it definitely did its job on the SPF 50 front.

The only slight downside is that it can leave a little bit of a white cast, especially if you don't rub it in really well. But honestly, for the peace of mind knowing they're protected with a mineral sunscreen, I can live with a little Casper-esque tint for a few minutes.

Overall, I'd give the Blue Lizard Kids Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 a thumbs up! It feels gentle, the Smart Cap is neat, and most importantly, it works. We'll definitely be keeping this in our beach bag!
