Today was one of those perfect sunny days that practically begs for a pool party, so we spent the afternoon outside soaking up the sunshine. With the kids eager to jump in, I brought out the Blue Lizard Kids Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for the first time—and I’m so glad I did.

My kids have pretty severe allergies and extremely sensitive skin, so finding a sunscreen that doesn’t cause irritation, redness, or itching is a constant struggle. I’m always a little nervous when trying something new, but Blue Lizard really impressed me. No reactions, no complaints, and absolutely no signs of irritation—just smiles and sun-safe fun.

The lotion went on easily and rubbed in better than I expected for a mineral formula. It wasn’t greasy or sticky, and although there was a little bit of a white cast at first, it disappeared pretty quickly once it absorbed. I loved that it’s free from parabens, fragrances, and other common irritants—it gave me real peace of mind knowing their skin was protected without any hidden nasties.

Even after hours of swimming, splashing, and towel-drying, the coverage held up well. I did reapply a couple of times just to be safe, but that’s to be expected on an all-day outdoor adventure.

Blue lizard 50 spf amazing

Goes on smooth and creamy, doesn’t leave any residue. Easy to apply and no scent. Very nice product. I definitely like that it has no perfume smell to it.

Children's summer with super protection!

I liked it right away because it's a mineral sunscreen with UVA/UVB SPF 50 protection and is water-resistant for 80 minutes. My daughter, the main user, really liked it because it's easy to apply and spread (you can see in the video that a small amount covered almost her entire arm, so it's economical!) and it has a mild scent that doesn't sting her eyes or bother her nose.
She's been using it daily and we totally approve! One less thing for mom, since her little girl can enjoy the summer with super protection!

My daughter & I both love it!

My daughter has sensitive skin but no actual allergies which can be difficult to find a sunscreen that doesn't irate her skin. However Blue Lizard was great with no irritating of my daughter's skin what so ever! This sunscreen rubs in completely with no greasy feel or stickiness left behind which is great! Overall a fantastic product in every regard, I can't say anything negative. I have been given a free sample of this product for a fair, unbiased and honest review.

Used this to protect my kiddo's skin today, it wasn't a busy day, spent most of it lightly hiking. It definitely worked to protect the skin from the sun. Easy to put on to, I'm teaching them how to put it on themselves and the importance of wearing it. It's not overly thick so it was perfect for a kid just learning how to completely cover themselves with sunscreen and it was gentle on the face. I look forward to buying more to help us have more outdoor adventures with out the worry for sunburned skin.
