Vanilla Cupcake!

I received the product for free in exchange for an honest review. I had a difficult time finding it at first. When I finally found it I was surprised at the price. It was $7.99! I think that's more than I would pay for a larger package of the regular Breyer's. If I didn't have the coupon, I probably wouldn't have bought it.

The taste was good. It did remind my kids and I of vanilla cupcake but it did have a slight aftertaste.

I'm curious about the other flavors. If I could find it somewhere cheaper, I would definitely purchase another flavor.

Worth the calories

I tried this and honestly with my first few bits I wasn't too impressed. I decided to try it again a few days later when I wasn't very full and it was definitely worth the 80 calories. Being a diabetic I'm always concerned with the sugar content of things I eat but this was great only 7g of sugar per 125ml of this product. The texture is a bit grainy but it taste exactly like cupcake batter that has sprinkles in it. It's not too sweet and for me satisfied my sweet tooth.

Delicious but expensive!

I was selected to try the Breyers Delights Vanilla Cupcake ice cream for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest opinion and it was delicious. We eat low calorie ice cream in our household all the time so I was excited to try a new brand/flavour. Vanilla cake/cupcakes with vanilla icing is my all time favourite dessert - add sprinkles and I’m pretty much in heaven so this stuff was right up my alley.

This ice cream was surpringly hard to find in stores but the 3 hour drive was worth the flavour! Me and my hubby ended up getting plastic spoons and eating the tub on our way home. The taste was impressive and I loved that the ice cream had an abundance of sprinkles. It would be great for kids because it’s fun! It’s made with vanilla cupcake batter and the taste is real. It doesn’t taste artificial but be warned, it tastes identical to cake batter. That can be a hit and miss flavour for some people, my hubby included. I loved the taste but it wasn’t his favourite. He likes vanilla cupcakes but thought the batter flavour was weird.

I love the low calorie concept but I also love the addition of protein. There’s 80 calories and 4g of protein per serving which is good because it took the two of us under 15 minutes to eat the entire tub. I could easily eat this in two sittings myself but my hubby would have no problem dusting this in one sitting. I love the addition of real milk and cream and although it’s low calorie, they don’t skimp on creaminess or flavour. It tastes and feels like you are eating full fat, full calorie ice cream.

Overall this ice cream was delicious and I love the addition of protein. It really adds something extra to the low calorie ice cream craze. I love that Breyers uses real ingredients and doesn’t sacrifice flavour or quality for less calories. However, based on price I would not purchase this again or recommend it. It was on sale for over $6 when I purchased it and retails for approximately $9. There are too many cheaper alternatives on the market that I would purchase instead.

Tastes JUST like vanilla sprinkle cupcakes!

A great but sweet treat.

The flavour of the ice cream is just as described, sprinkles and all. It tastes just like the sprinkle vanilla cupcakes you remember eating as a kid at birthday parties. It has a nice creamy texture but the sprinkles took some getting used to I wasn't a huge fan of their texture, they were like little bubble sacks. The one thing about this ice cream was you cannot have a lot of it, it is very very sweet. I couldn't eat more than a few spoons at a time but when you're in need of a sweet treat its perfect.

I probably would not purchase this product again because of the price and the flavour was not my favourite. Would try the other flavours.

Great alternative when you want a treat

We tried the Breyers delights vanilla cupcake flavor and it tastes very similar to the birthday cake flavor by another leading more expensive company.
I personally prefer other ice cream flavors, but the kids ate their bowls quickly and asked for seconds!

Tasty for a low calorie ice cream

Firstly, I'd like to state that I got a coupon for a free tub of ice cream so that I could try the product for free for review purposes. Now, on to my review:

The first impressions I got from the new Breyers Delights was that the packaging looked really fun, that there were a good amount of flavour choices (with enough variety), and that the tubs were a little smaller than I had expected.

I opted for the vanilla cupcake flavour because I try to avoid chocolate, and it's just the flavour that seemed like it would be the tastiest for me.

When I opened up the tub to have a taste, I was surprised (and delighted) to find that there were sprinkles in the ice cream! I tried a scoop and found that the flavour was more than okay.

After a few scoops, I realized that this ice cream is not quite as creamy as your classic ice cream. But that's completely fine because I didn't feel weighed down (or guilty) after eating a few spoonfuls. I also found it interesting that this ice cream has protein in it, since the low calories and protein content could be a great combo for someone who is trying to get/stay fit but who also wants to indulge in some ice cream.

I was a little concerned by the amount of ingredients in this product, and how many of them I can't pronounce (since that's usually a bit of a red flag for me). But I liked the flavour, and I suppose the ingredients are fine since I don't eat a tub of ice cream a day (or even in a whole month).

Overall, I'd say that I do recommend this ice cream for people looking for a low calorie ice cream.

Delicious low cal dessert!

First of all, I received a coupon from Chickadvisor to get this product free in return for my honest review. My first opinion would be that this small container is a little overpriced. At 500mL for $7.99 at Shoppers Drugmart, I probably wouldn't purchase this at that price. I do enjoy the fact that this ice cream has some protein, so with a small amount it's satisfying for hunger sweet cravings.

I found the texture to be a little more on the icy side and less creamy but that can be expected with a low calorie ice cream. I really liked the sweet flavour and the tiny sprinkles which made it taste more like a vanilla cupcake. I probably would not repurchase if it remains this price, however; I would love to try to the other flavours so I'm hoping the price will go down!

Being a huge fan of ice cream, this was my first time trying Vanilla Cupcake and it was creamy, light and an amazing dessert to have after a meal!
Overall it wasn't too sweet and I found myself wanting to get more!
I have since passed on this recommendation to my family and friends.

Good low-cal ice cream option!

If you are a big fan of vanilla ice cream you might be slightly disappointed because there isn't a ton of vanilla flavour and it isn't too sweet either. However, I like that it isn’t too sweet because too much sweet stuff can trigger a sugar binge, especially when I am on a diet. There are a decent amount of sprinkles though and it has a pretty creamy consistency. I especially love that this doesn't taste artificial. Overall, a great low calorie ice cream option. It is good enough to satisfy my ice cream cravings without all the sugar, fat, and calories. I am definitely going to try the other flavours in this line. #gotitfree

You just can't beat the calorie count.

No it's not as creamy as actual ice cream. You need to keep in mind that it's a frozen desert, and low calorie when eating this. The flavor is not the best but it is good. For me being able to enjoy a frozen treat with my kids, especially with summer coming, Is a must, being able to do so without blowing up the calorie count is a major bonus.
