It isn't quite bacon but it is decent

This is more like smoky ham strips than bacon but it does take quite good. If you are looking for a healthier alternative to bacon or can't eat pork then I'd say that this is a reasonable replacement. I used mine to make toasted tomato sandwiches on gluten free bread to keep it a gluten free meal as I am a celiac.

Great alternative

I love bacon, and I also enjoy alternatives to regular pork bacon. This turkey bacon surprised me. It has a deeper flavour than most turkey bacon that I have tried. It honestly almost tasted like ham and had the texture of ham. Similar to a thin back bacon. This bacon crisped up okay. We felt like there was a sweet spot to getting it to be the right texture for our preference and we just had to go by the colour/look of the bacon. We did find that if the bacon was overcooked, it became quite chewy.

Pretty Good for a Turkey Bacon

This applewood smoked turkey bacon was a tasty alternative to pork bacon. With a much lower fat content it’s a healthy way to add some flavour to your breakfast or other meals. I found with enough heat the edges crisped up nicely, although the overall texture is a bit chewy for my liking.

This turkey bacon is a lower in fat and sodium alternative to regular bacon, so I appreciate the normalcy in morning breakfast while making a more health conscious choice. While it didn’t have a traditional bacon taste, it was more reminiscent of a crispy ham, it was still a worthy alternative for breakfast. Pleasantly surprised!

Tried the butterball turkey bacon and, if I am being honest, I was skeptical because I haven’t been a big fan of turkey bacon when I have tried it in the past. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the taste and the texture. Even my son (who is picky as heck) liked it. Definitely recommend!

Great alternative for guests

I like serving this when I have guests that do not eat pork. It’s great to have an alternative that is also healthier. My kids love Caesar salad, and they enjoy topping their Caesar salad with this. Can you replace real bacon, I’m afraid not.

Delicious, low fat alternative
