Banging good bacon
I tried the Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon and it’s pretty good. Has a nice smoky flavor, crisps up nicely if you cook it a little longer, and doesn’t leave a greasy mess. Definitely leaner than regular bacon, so the texture’s different. This is really great option for BTL breakfast sandwiches.

Decent, but not my favorite
The Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon has a nice smoky flavor and cooks up quickly, which makes it convenient for busy mornings. However, I found the texture a bit too chewy compared to regular bacon, and it doesn’t get as crispy as I’d like. It’s a decent lighter option, but not something I’d reach for all the time.

Less fatty alternatives
It has smoky flavours from the applewood smoking process and has a decent flavour with less fat option. Also this is considered as processed food to some extent just to be aware of. Other than that it has some crunchy taste upon cooking - Product gifted by Butterball Canada.

Not as good as pork bacon
I received these recently and today I decided to cook them up in the oven to eat with my breakfast. I cooked them at 375 for 25 mins because I like crispy bacon. It worked well. I find it interesting that these turkey bacon strips don't get wavy like pork bacon 🥓 strips. These are a lot less flavourful and a lot less salty. If you don't eat pork or you want a healthier option then this is for you.

Healthy alternative for pork
I really enjoyed this one. Hubby and kiddo not so much. I like ham over bacon for Sausgae with my br akfast and that was the vibe this gave. Was a bit tougher but I was ok with it. Tasted amazing

Great lean alternative but not a bacon replacement
We decided to add the turkey bacon as special a treat inside our hamburgers. Although I had preferred to cook the bacon directly on the grill alongside the burgers, the package advised to cook the turkey bacon in a skillet instead. It was a smidge inconvenient as I had 1 more thing to wash, but definitely not a deal breaker.
Alas, once it was cooked and added to our burger it tasted...meh? Although I cooked it as per the directions, I wonder if I should have left it on the skillet alot longer... I found it cooked but didn't crisp up (probably due to the lack of fat in it). I love how lean it is and I think it would make a wonderful addition to a sandwich maybe in lieu of deli meat. However, I wouldn't add it to my burger as a topping nor eat it solo as part of a breakfast.

Doesn't Stand Out!
I made burgers last night for supper so decided to try this new turkey bacon. I cooked it all in the frying pan, and it broke up quite easily. The texture is different, and its not as crispy, but it still tasted the same. Unfortunately, it didn't "Wow" me.

Okay product, not great
The product looks great, but I felt it was a bit salty. Nothing special compared to other brands or items. I wish the product also included more pieces of bacon, so overall the pricing didn't help with my decision.

Great healthy option!
I tested out Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon and I was very happy with this as a healthy option for my meals! I enjoyed the texture of the bacon and the smoked flavour was subtle and delicious. I would recommend this turkey bacon as a great option for breakfast, wraps, salads and sides! We had a little mishap with some of the bacon over cooking but it tasted like pork rinds it was sooo good! I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review.
