I recently picked up the Butterball Smoked Applewood Turkey Bacon, and it’s become a staple in my kitchen. The flavor is really well-balanced – you can taste that applewood smokiness, which adds a nice depth without being overpowering. Compared to regular pork bacon, it’s definitely lighter and leaner, but still satisfying. I like that it doesn’t leave a greasy mess in the pan, and it cooks pretty evenly. If you want it crispy, you just need to leave it in a little longer, and it still holds its shape without crumbling apart.

Another thing I appreciate is how versatile it is. It’s great for breakfast alongside eggs, but I’ve also used it in wraps, on sandwiches, and even chopped into salads for extra flavor. The lower fat and calorie content makes it an easy swap when you’re trying to eat healthier, but it still delivers on taste. lesser fats without sacrificing flavor!

Personally, I prefer turkey bacon! I find the flavor to be superior and I appreciate that Butterball makes this with less fat! I decided to make a Breakfast Egg Sammich with the turkey bacon and everyone was impressed! It feels good to eat good, and I find when I have a breakfast sandwich at fast food places, my stomach hurts, BUT, when I make them at home with Butterball, we feel great! Plus, it's well priced too!

Pleasantly Surprised!

I had the opportunity to try Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon. I’ve never had it before, so I was curious.

I didn’t expect to enjoy the Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon but I did. To me, it tasted like Italian ham *prosciutto cotto* but it’s turkey. And not greasy. Wow!!!

It's full of flavour, lower in fat and a lighter alternative to traditional pork products, plus packed with protein and overall delicious!
I’m so impressed that I just recently bought a pack of the Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon to have ready when I need to add some protein to my meals.
