Tasty Healthier Bacon Option

I received the opportunity to try Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon courtesy of Butterly. This product is easy to make and less messy than pork bacon. It conveniently comes in a resealable package and has the ability to be stored in the freezer. This product has a tasty flavour (salted meat taste similar to pork bacon) as well as a similar texture. It has less fat than pork bacon making it a healthier alternative. It is perfect on its own or great in a sandwich. If you enjoy bacon but are conscious of your health, I recommend giving Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon a try.

Healthy Alternative!!

If you're counting calories and cutting back on fat content then turkey bacon is a really great alternative and source of healthy protein! The flavour is slightly more mild than traditional bacon, however it crisps up nicely and tastes great! It's not super thick but still has a great texture in between chewy and crunchy. The clean up is sooo much better than regular bacon as there is no greasy mess !! Definitely recommend for breakfasts, salads, etc.

Healthy bacon

It’s quite a good alternative to ordinary bacon. I like that it’s 100% turkey, and I think it’s great for breakfast. But honestly for me it's too salty. The price is affordable.

Pretty decent sandwich materials

I can't complain. As someone that doesn't consume a lot of bacon every year, I was pleasantly surprised with the final taste and the smokiness of the sandwich. The bacon made this lunch meal that much better and filling.

Not quite pork bacon but still yummy

I tried this turkey bacon for free in exchange for my honest review. It’s been a long time since I’ve tried turkey bacon so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was actually really good. As long as you don’t expect it to taste exactly like pork bacon, it’s an excellent substitute. I would recommend this and will buy it again.

Good for an alternative bacon

We tried the Butterball Turkey bacon and the taste is good but I would have liked for it to be more crispy. It was better when we cut it into smaller pieces and enjoyed it that way. It would be an alternative to regular bacon.

Butterball turkey bacon

Got it free.tastes pretty delicious just with less fat content.they get pretty crunchy too.totally a must try .seriously addicting .Just not used to turkey bacon.

Who Knew?

Butterball's turkey bacon has a lot of good things going for it. While it takes a little longer to cook, it is much less messy. There's no splatter or grease to speak of. The bacon also didn't shrink much at all as it cooked. The 50% less fat is also a huge plus for people who are trying to make healthier choices.

I brought the turkey bacon to a cottage weekend to get as many opinions as possible and we had mixed reviews. 50% of the kids absolutely loved it while the other half found it just ok. The adults were a little more particular. We all appreciated that there was less grease and salt but we noted it came at the cost of some of the flavour. The texture was fine for about half of us while the other half missed pork bacon's mouth feel. We all noted that it would be good in things like a sandwich or on a pizza.

I personally was a fan and would buy it again because my kids liked it. I like the healthier option and I don't like food that's too greasy. Hopefully I can get my husband on board. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Good Bacon Substitute

The bacon is different. It definitely has a bacon flavor, but the texture is completely different. I personally wouldn't eat it on its own, but I think it would be great in sandwiches or if you have a recipe that calls for bacon or bacon bits.
