Delicious

This is the first time trying any type of turkey bacon .I found this Butterball Applewood Smoked turkey bacon so very good .It did not taste anything like i thought and it reminded me alot of thin ham .I really enjoyed this and definitely would buy this again.

Delicious and Juicy

I was surprised at how juicy these turkey rashers were. I am not normally a fan of applewood smoke, but these were delicious and the smokey flavour wasn't overpowering. I heated these in the microwave and they stayed juicy. I also experiment with microwaving them longer, and they crisped up quite nicely. The bacon was delicious both ways. This is a great healthy alternative to regular bacon, and I would get these again.

The best Turkey bacon I've tried

I was chosen to review Butterball Turkey hot dogs and Butterball turkey bacon in exchange for review.
Personally, I love Butterball products. I find that they are The Only Turkey worth buying for big events such as Thanksgiving or Easter, but also if I just feel like having turkey. So honestly when they started selling their individual pieces of turkey, I jumped at the chance to buy them. And now that I had a chance to review the hot dogs and the bacon. I obviously jumped on that chance as well. I'm very thankful that I was one of those people who was chosen to review it.
Generally, Turkey bacon, I'll eat.... but I'm not the biggest fan of it. I will say that the Butterball Turkey bacon was definitely a lot better than all the other Turkey bacon's I've had. I tried it fried and cooked the oven: both were delicious. I wouldn't say it is on par with other pig bacon, but it definitely makes a great substitute!

Smoky flavour

As a fan of turkey for thanksgiving and Christmas and a regular eater of bacon, I was instantly intrigued when I saw this turkey bacon. The instructions were clear on how to cook it and I used the bacon for my chicken salad so it had the information on how to cook crispy. I liked the smokiness of the bacon and it combined well with my meal. I’m not sure if I would eat it to replace pork for our morning breakfast especially since it took me a few stores to find it but it’s something I would considered for future meal ideas.

Our new fave bacon

It’s my first time trying a turkey product and I must say I am very pleased with it. It’s a new variety of bacon for us. The size stayed almost the same after cooking and there’s a little to no fat left on the frying pan. It’s not too salty like our usual bacon. We are definitely switching to this. We’re so delighted to find this brand.

Less fatty healthy options

I definitely eat too much bacon, and its so fatty, the butterball smoked Turkey bacon is a much better option .that i can worry less and it also tastes great. I will definitely be buy more.

Yummy

The butterball applewood turkey bacon is a great low fat, high protein and delicious option. Its great in the morning with eggs or as an alternative in a BLT. I’ll definitely be getting it again.

Not my kind of bacon

From time to time, I enjoy trying things slightly outside of my norm so I was pretty interested in testing this Butterball Apple wood Smoked Turkey Bacon for free in return for my honest review just to see what it was like. Unfortunately, it was a pretty big let down for me. My biggest issue with it was the texture. I tried cooking it in a skillet to get it crispy, but it just ended up being kind of rubbery and, I don't know, mushy I guess, not matter what I did. Honestly, the texture is almost indescribable and not in a good way. It's weird and spongy and does not give the satisfying crispness you would expect from bacon. The flavour was also a letdown. I found the taste to be pretty bland and almost a bit artificial. I definitely didn't get the Apple wood smoke it claimed it would taste like. I tried using this bacon in a few different recipes just to make sure it wasn't something I messed up. In BLTs it was soggy, in broccoli salad it was mush and trying to crumble it for a salad was a nightmare because it just fell apart into weird little clumps I just cant recommend this one unfortunately. Lean Bacon

‘Butterball's Applewood smoked turkey bacon is a tasty yet healthier alternative to traditional pork bacon. It is gluten-free! It is easy to cook. I cooked mine in a frying pan. and achieved perfect crispiness. The Applewood smoked flavour adds a delicious taste, making it a family favourite. My family loves it on barbecued burgers. It is also great with eggs.

Better than bacon!

Whenever I go to a restaurant for breakfast I always opt for turkey bacon so I was ecstatic when I received the opportunity to try Butterball turkey bacon original flavor. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a gluten-free, pork free, less fat, meat option. There is 3g protein/slice. The smell and flavor is delicious. My family is happy!
