A gentle cleanser

I love the Cerave lineup of products as they are safe for most skin types. This is a gentle cleanser that is non-irritating to the skin. The only downside is that it does not remove stubborn make up and waterproof products. Overall a great buy.

Well experiment/try to know the truth.

At first, I was totally excited to try this product because of the hype it gets from the people. I bought 3 bottles that time since it is always sold out. Then when I finally tried it for a week I am doubtful because it seems like nothing's really happening. I have a very sensitive skin and it gives me itch, redness and flaky texture. I was expecting it can heal me fast unfortunately in my situation it did take a lot of time for my skin to accept the formula of CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. You'll realize that NOT because it works for everyone DOES NOT mean it'll work for you. Although until now I do use it and I alternate it with other gentle brand.

Not for me

Cerave has good products and the price is always great, but this one isn't for me. It does not dry my face out or cause me to break out which are positives, however I am not confident that my face is clean either. You need a good makeup remover if you wear makeup as this does not take makeup off. I use an oil based makeup remover and it doesn't seem to break that down either and I end up feeling like I have too much residue left on my face. Overall it just wasn't for me, but I'm interested in trying the other CeraVe face cleansers that might be a better fit for me.

Moisturizing

I recently started using this cleanser and noticed that it doesn’t strip your skin of moisture. It does not lather on well nor is it foamy, but I find that it still gets the job done. Fragrance-free, has ceramides and not harsh on the skin.

Perfect cleanser for dry sensitive skin

Fragrance free, non-stripping, reasonable price. I recommend to most of my clients! However if you have makeup on this won’t do the best job of removing it.
