Hydrating Serum

I have tried the 7 day trial of Clarins Double Serum, and I find the product to be very hydrating. I cannot speak to whether it will work for fine lines and texture, but the initial benefits were great.

Wonderfully radiant

This makes my skin glow, look refreshed and more radiant! It has a nice consistency, absorbs well into my skin, and has a really nice fragrance. Sometimes my skin can be sensitive but I had no negative reactions. I received a 7 day sample from @Butterly and have only been trying it for a few days and have noticed some improvement in firmness but I anticipate that if I was using it for longer I would notice more improvement in fine lines.
I appreciate how Clarins is a company that cares so much about sustainability and that, combined with the great result means I will be purchasing it to keep these results going.

I expected more

I received a 7 day sample of this serum and use it nightly for a week. I feel like this serum was so hyped up, that I expected to see fantastic results immediately. Usually I don't look for results until I've used a product for a few months, but this product promises them after only 7 days. As far as those expectations go, I'm not so sure. The serum feels greasy, although the oil part isn't supposed to be greasy, and sits on my skin for a while, so I can't continue on with my face care routine until much later. However, I wake up with soft skin that isn't too shiny, which is why I would still recommend trying it. I didn't see any effect on my pores, fine lines or smoothness, and I needed to add a hydrating serum underneath it after a few days, as my cheeks were starting to get dry. I feel like I may see better results after using it for much longer than 7 days.

Helthy and firmer skin

I really enjoy this serum, I found my skin is firmer and very stable during the time I am using it. It is quick-absorbing and doesn’t feel like oil at all. The fragrance is a bit strong when applying in face but fortunately it do not last. It doesn’t affect your makeup performance as well. Super easy to use, i highly recommend this product to anyone needing a face pick me up! Definitely made my face feel healthy, firmer and over all just incredible

A decade or more ago I used to use Clarins, there would always be something in my skin care regime that included at least one of their products, but if you've follow me you might notice I dabble in many brands and can get swayed to switch to a product that is more effective in that space and time, our skins needs constantly change, so if a product hasn't moved on I do. 💗


Clarins Double Serum, is the 8th generation in this line, I may have used the 4th or even the 2nd generation.

Insights
I'm happy I was given 7 day supply of the serum to test.
The scent is a minimal green citrus floral, my skin soaked in the serum beautifully, it's a water like texture, it's not sticky or greasy. I love the texture and how it feels. I've been using for five days not nights, I see that my skin is more radiant and hydrated. I have a lot of faith in this brand that long term it will come close to and meet it's promises. 🌟

Clarins also recommends a 3 step process to get the best results, which include warming, apply evenly, drain by pressing into your skin.

Great luxury product but not cruelty-free

Thank you @clarinscanada @thisisbutterly @chickadvisor for sending me a sample of Clarins Double Serum in exchange for my honest review! Overall, I really liked this product but I don't think it's a repurchase for me.

✅21 different plant extracts to help with skin nutrition, oxygenation, hydration, regeneration and protection -- really combating signs of aging. This product has SO many good-for-you ingredients. I'm talking oat, turmeric, mango and so much more. I loved looking through all of the items on their website to get an idea as to what was in the formula.
✅Unique double texture is suited for all skin types.
✅Claim most people saw a noticeable change (more beautiful, smoother, hydrated skin) within 7 days and actually gave out a 7 day trial -- thank you! Major plus for testing.

❎Noticeable floral scent to this product -- I like a nice fragrance as my skin can handle it but I know many try to avoid it! Keep this in mind if you're considering splurging.
❎Speaking of... the price tag on this product may be difficult to swallow! This product retails for almost $140 for a 50mL bottle on their official website.

My experience:
I really enjoyed testing this product. I found that there was plenty of product to mix together (and I loved the aspect of two textures!). My skin really liked this and I did feel like I had more noticeable hydration and my skin seemed to really soak the product in. I generally don't like to use facial oils but this wasn't greasy at all and worked nicely in my night time routine. This is definitely a luxury product and I'm sure my skin will be sad to see it no longer in the routine but because of the cost, it's a really hard justification for me. In addition, Clarins official policy is that they do not test on animals, however, they do sell in parts of the world that have mandatory animal testing laws. I have a few Clarins products that I've had the opportunity to try (and have bought personally!) and truly love but I am trying to be more conscious of what sort of values I align with in the beauty world. I hope that Clarins will change their stance in the near future.

Hydrating serum with very nice scent

I tried this serum for 7 days, and I love it very much! This serum is hydrating and perfect for my combination skin. It is not very greasy, and it offers a pleasant scent that is fruity and floral. My skin looks and feels smoother and more radiant afterward.

No Difference

I tried the serum for 7 days but unfortunately I saw no difference in my skin. I wasn’t fond of the smell either but thankfully it dissipated once on my skin.

Feels nice

I loved the texture and non greasy feel, it also did help to minimize enlarged pores. I did find my face was smoother however I still had a dry spot on my nose after the 7 day treatment.
