I color my hair, therefore moisture is essential to great hair. I love this product. Dove gives me the right amount of moisture for my hair without leaving it feeling slimy or sticky. I get a great shine and it does dull my hair color one bit.
meant to say Doesn't
I think this is an excellent shampoo to bring with you on a vacation (1 bottle for 2 products), and for those who are always on the go and do not have time for conditioning treatments in the shower.
One key selling point for me is that not only is it affordable, it smells quite delicious. I don't mean in a fruity sort of way, but it leaves the hair smelling fabulous!
I also find that it leaves my hair shiny and soft, and it does with such a nice price too!
I'm not a fan of paying more than $10 for a shampoo.
Bit of background: I dye my hair (only a couple of shades lighter, and I am sort of growing it out now), but I don't use curling irons, blowdryers, straighteners, or anything like that. The only other hair product I consider using is Bumble and Bumble DeFrizz silicone on the ends of my hair only, but that's about it.
I went searching for a 2-in-1 shampoo because it drives me mad that I have to lather up twice in the shower when I just want to get in and get out. My solution? On weekdays, I wash my hair at night with the 2-in-1 stuff, and I let it airdry (not even towel dry, I pat out the excess moisture and that's it), and sleep on my back with my hair flipped over my head.
Guaranteed, next morning, gorgeous wavy, volumized, bouncy curls without any styling :)
Then on the weekends, to pamper my hair (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays), I use the Dove Conditioner (only) and I soak my hair in it, to keep it moisturized and healthy (it really does work, I just don't like that it weighs it down so much like most conditioners on my hair). Then the rest of the week, I just use the 2-in-1 without the conditioner element, and while it feels dry and stiff when I get out of the shower, it will dry into super soft shiny hair... esp if you don't use heating irons or tools on your hair.
