Smells Great

This smells like summer dreams! Does a great job for in-between wash days and I loved using it summer afternoons to 'freshen up'. It has a very nice clean, coconut smell so I'm not 100% I'd love this particular smell as much in the dead of winter. Overall I was happy with the product and its performance. I would purchase this item.

Dry shampoo

First of all it smells amazing!! I really liked the product, and it was a big bottle of it too!! It doesn’t have a really strong smell like other dry shampoo. I would recommend this, and I have to my family and friends.

Smells amazing!!

This dry shampoo smells so good! The smell stayed in my hair all day. The only downfall was the dry shampoo didn’t give my hair any volume. My hair smelled and looked great, it was just a bit flat. Overall a great product.

Great product

Great and lightweight. It left my hair feeling lightweight and clean. It had a nice fragrance and wasn’t sticky. My hair had more noticeable bounce and was smoothed after using it. I will purchase and use again.

Hard pass

I was very disappointed with this dry shampoo. After using it my hair didn't look refreshed or clean, my hair was hard to manage. It fell very short to the dry shampoo I currently use on an almost daily basis.

Didn't perform as well as most comparable brands

I was excited to use this, as I like Dove brands, though I hadn't heard of them doing haircare (I think of Dove being 'cleaning' products, not necessarily beauty & styling ones). As expected, it had a very powdery scent which is common for their products and may put off some people. I prefer a shampoo/herbal scent to my dry-shampoos: powder scent don't suit me, and strong scents compete with my perfume.

The biggest disappointment was the formula: it was noticeably thinner than other brands, and while it left no visable residue at all, it just wasnt a thick enough product or application to work at all. Product wasn't noticable once sprayed (it comes out so fine, even after shaking the canister) and there was barely anything to soak up oil. Even after 3 applications I noticed no difference in oiliness, so had to follow up with another brand.

Because it was so fine, I'd absolutely use this to add texture and grip to clean dry hair and think it would work extremely well for that, but as a dry-shampoo it was ineffective.

Weightless Product

This product was easy to use, smells fantastic, works great and is incredibly weightless, unlike a lot of gunky types of dry shampoo!! I have always loved Dove products and having gotten the chance to use this, especially as a person who doesn't use too many of them, again given that most are gunky, I would definitely recommend this to others!!

An alright dry shampoo but not for me

I was very excited to review this product and remember patiently waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I was, sadly, a little disappointed with it, however.

The parts about this product that I was most excited about were that it's a Dove product (because I love Dove) and that this would be invisible dry shampoo. I've used other dry shampoos in the past and remember being frustrated because of the white residue they would leave in my hair.

I am happy to say that this product did in fact end up being invisible!

On the other hand, I had to use quite a lot of it for the spray to have the desired effect on my hair (and my hair wasn't even that dirty). The scent was pleasant initially, but I found that when I sprayed a lot of the dry shampoo (like I had to in order to make my hair look clean), the smell became a little too intense, and I got a headache.

So, I'm definitely happy that this is indeed an invisible dry shampoo, but I'm afraid of using it again for the other reasons that I mentioned.

Did not help with oiliness

I am a busy mom and love using dry shampoo as a pick me up between washes, so I was excited to try Dove Care Between Washes. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. It had a strong smell, which was not unpleasant to me, however my BF said he didn't like how it smelled as it smelled too "chemically." It applied invisible, and the spray nozzle worked well to give a nice controlled and even application. But simply, this did not work. I have very fine hair, so my hair shows oil and gets limp fast. Surprisingly, this product did not absorb oil, did not add any volume, and actually made my hair look worse and greasier. I will stick to using my other brand. I received this product free from Chickadvisor for review purposes.

It is wonderful! And it feels great!

I have enjoyed using this dry shampoo, when I needed to skip washing my hair. It made my hair feel clean and be full of volume. Did not have to feel unsecure about my hair when I left the house.
