Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil is not for me.

I had high hopes for this product, but it just didn't live up to it's hype.

It was really greasy and left my hair feeling kinda weighed down. It didn't really do much about the softness either. I think I'll pass on this one.

I didn't like this oil product. I've used others in the past & I found this one left my hair looking & feeling greasy. I didn't find it improved the look of my hair at all. I was quite disappointed with this product. It did have a lovely scent though.

I'm not a big fan of hair oil- I have pretty healthy hair to begin with, but unfortunately the dove Dry oil just weighed it down and made it feel greasy.

I got this for free in exchange for an honest review.
I was worried the moment I saw this, as my hair is very thin and fine and gets weighed down and greasy easily, so adding oil to it doesn't sound like the greatest idea. However, I decided to give it a shot. They offer two ways to apply - either after your shower, or before you shampoo. I found, after the shower especially, it didn't easily apply to my hair. I didn't notice much of a difference, and then my hair got greasy faster, which I expected. I didn't notice a difference before shampooing either. I give this one a pass.

I received this product from Chick Advisor to try and review.

I use Macadamia Oil from another brand on my hair after every shower. It helps keep my hair shiny without being oily.

    Normally it does, anyway.

This product was greasy on the hands, an greasy on the hair. It feels like a high quality product, coming in a sleek glass bottle, but once I dispensed some into my hand, it felt heavy and thick, rather than light. The scent was light, which is good, but that was really all it had going for it.

    I wouldn't recommend this product.

I was nervous to try this product because my hair is greasy and I didn't think adding oil to it made sense even though my hair is super dry especially at the ends. I also worried about the oil being transferred onto my pillow as I normally shower at night time. I am not sure if I used too much but it make my hair feel so greasy and oily. The bottle seems small for the price. If I were to try it again I think I would only target it on my ends to see if that would help them but keep my hair less greasy. I did receive this to try for free and I am glad I did as I wouldn't have known how this product worked!

It was ok. I really found this left my hair smelling nice and looked nice after use... but I would have to use repeatedly and use it everyday. I don't think I will end up buying it again.

To be honest, I'm not a fan and this was the product I was most excited about in the product review package I received. I followed the instructions on the box but found it did not really make a difference in my hair (ended up using my normal hair routine). I have some coloured hair left at the tips which are quite dry and frizzy so it's a must to keep my hair smooth with oils. I was very interested to test out this new African macadamia oil by Dove but again, was super disappointed. I had to use a lot more pumps than instructed to cover all my hair (granted I have a lot of thick hair and quite long) but even with the extra pumps, my hair was still feeling dry and frizzy. Also, I personally don't like the smell of this oil.

I use a lot of oils to nourish my hair, but was not impressed with this one. After trying the shampoo and conditioner, I guess I had higher hopes but it left my hair limp and greasy rather than seeming to make it silky and soft or absorbing to nourish the hair.

It has a very strong fragrance, too much for a hair product. It left an oily residue and seemed to increase the amount of static in my hair. Not my favorite product & would not purchase in the future.
