not worth it

this product has such a potent scent that I was literally choking and worried it would get into my lungs and cause an infection, the spray is so thick and heavy.

it works alright for about ten minutes and then my hair feels even more gross.

counterproductive and not worth the money or time. I find spraying basic old hair spray in my hair and tussling it around works way way better.

I tried it on my natural curly hair and I was so upset on how it worked, I had to wash it out of my hair right away. My hair went a gray coulour and went very frizzy.

I received the Dove Fresh + Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo for free from a ChickAdvisor Product Review Club Opportunity. I hated this product! It takes a lot for my to say I hate a product, but this did it. Not only did the product not live up to its claims of being a dry shampoo, it actually made my hair look dirty and I had to wash my hair after using it before I could go out. It leaves a horrible residue and does nothing to combat oil. Even the smell isn't pleasing. Save your money and don't buy this product!

This is hands down the WORST dry shampoo I have ever tried. Don't believe me? Check out the picture of my two day greasy hair AFTER applying Dove's Dry Shampoo. Yes, it made my hair straighter and shinier, but it did absolutely nothing to soak up the grease. I would not be comfortable using this as an in-between option to prolong the length between showers at all. Worse, if you wake up late, haven't showered and need a solution fast, this dry shampoo will let you down, leaving you slinking off to work with hair that's obviously greasy. It does reduce grease to a degree. Unfortunately that degree is less than 20%.

In fact no matter what level of 'dirtiness' my hair was at, this dry shampoo failed to improve it enough. On top of which, the scent is so cloying and perfumed (and frankly horrid) that you'll be stuck in your bathroom in a cloud of perfumed powder trying desperately to find the door.

Pros:
- Good Brand and doesn't damage hair.

Cons:
- Doesn't work as a dry shampoo.
- Smell is too powerful and terrible.
- Doesn't reduce grease and leave hair looking clean.
- Just terrible.
- Smells like Grandma's face powder.

Usually I love Dove and they make many amazing products, but I have to say when it comes to this, as a reviewer it's my duty to be honest. My honest opinion is that you should avoid under all circumstances. Awful.

I picked this up because it was on sale, and I have heard dry shampoo was great. But dove did not work for me. I'm not sure if my hair was to tick or just the dove dry shampoo is just plain crap!

Sorry, Dove - I love most of your products but this one is a flop, in my opinion. The can spoke of deathly warnings in three different areas, which immediately put up too many red flags in my direction. Anything that lethal isn't usually welcome in my home, let alone seeping onto my head. At the first chemically overbearing shot of spray from the freshly shook can, I regretted putting it on my hair. Within seconds of rubbing it in as suggested on the packaging - my scalp began to feel and look oily and dirty. Like - ran a marathon on a hot summer day then partied all night and did the walk of shame two-days later with greasy hair sort of dirty.

Thank you, but it was re-gifted - and I hope it works for my pal better than it did for me.

Perhaps my hair is not made for dry shampoo. Perhaps the product is a neat idea to some. I'm glad to have been given the opportunity to try it for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Review Club. Thank you

I received the Dove Refresh and Care Dry Shampoo free from the Chick Advisor Product Review Club and I didn't like it at all.It was my first time trying a dry Shampoo and I wasn't impressed ,the scent was too strong ,it literally choked me up,it left my hair looking dull and feeling dry,not a good product in my opinion,I certainly will not be rushing out to purchase this .Im really disappointed with this dry Shampoo because I had such a positive experience testing the Shampoo and Conditioner

One of the worst dry shampoos I have tried and I have tried a lot of them! Smells nice but does nothing but make my hair flat.
