The only thing I truly loved about this was the fresh scent and the lightness compared to other dry shampoos. But I found it gritty so I don't recommend it! I don't always get time to wash my hair everyday, which leaves it oily and I was excited to try this Dove Dry Shampoo as an "in between washes" solution. I was running late one day and it was the perfect time to give it a try. I found that it worked fairly well at first on my hair, made it less oily. I did brush it out and through my hair and let it sit a bit before I styled it as usual. I noticed that it made my hair a little stiff for my liking. But it did help freshen up my hair when it was flat and needed a quick fix.

I did not like the dry shampoo I have let my hair grow again and it is very sick. I found it very hard to get into the roots and not the rest of my hair. I also notice if I sprayed too much my hair would go white and you would have to brush to try to get it out. On the other hand my son has short hair also brown again we were getting the white marks but it was much easier to use on his hair. His hair came out nice and soft dry to the touch and no grease inside. My hair also had white patches and it took me a long time brushing to get the white marks out. After trying to brush up the dry shampoo I still felt my hair was very dry stringy and hard. The both of us even went online to make sure we were using the product correctly I am going to pass on this product for now As I am NOT ready to give up my regular shampoo yet.

I bought this product on a whim when I was on vacation and forgot my regular dry shampoo. It was cheap and I needed something but it ended up making my hair more greasy than it was before I used it, only thing I liked about it was the smell.

I got this product free to try as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I have used this product a few times within the past week and can't say that I'm super crazy about it. First I tried using this the very next day as a replacement for washing my hair. I have thin oily hair so even after spraying this in my hair did not feel fresh and my roots were still greasy looking. Next day I washed my hair like normal and after work my hair way flat and dull looking so I grabbed the dry shampoo as a refresher after a long day and that had a much better result for me. This product does smell great and doesn't leave any white residue which I like but it leaves my hair feeling like their is product in my hair and not very soft to touch.

Overall, I can certify that this is an okay product and I recommend someone with thicker or non oily hair try it out.

I didn't have the issue of white cast that many people have complained about with this product. I also didn't find it effective though. This product is good for a light refresh if you have a little bit of excess oil. I only wash my hair one to two times each week. At days 4-6, I can sometimes start getting a little bit greasy. If I used this on day 4, it was good for a little refresh and a bit of boost in volume. If I used this on day 6, it was just like adding perfume to my hair. That brings me to the scent. This product is HEAVILY fragranced. I've used scented dry shampoos (eg. Batiste) in the past. This one goes above and beyond in scent. It was like spraying perfume on my hair.

Maybe it's just me, but I do not get the whole dry shampoo product.
I tried this product over 7 times, and just can't seem to get the same results as others.
I followed the instructions and tips from friends on how to make this product a success, but can't seem to make it a success for my hair.
I have hair down to almost my waistline, so maybe it works better on short hair?
I will stick to the Dove Shampoo and Conditioner instead.

I was a little disappointed with this dry shampoo. First of all, it is a little pricier than I am willing to pay. I have fine dry hair and I expected it to give me a little more volume as it removed oil. I like the spray and go type of dry shampoo, this was not the case. It has a nice subtle scent to it and helps mask odors from your mane but my hair did not feel light and airy with extra volume like it does with competing products. It removed the oilness well but left a mild residue on my hair. Maybe for shorter hair it would be more effective. Thank you for this amazing opportunity to test this product ChickAdvisor! :)

Honestly it did not worked for me. Maybe my hair is too thick to work this. It smells good but it was more like a fragrance for my hair instead of absorbing the "oil".

I love Dove. Love the smell, how it makes my hair feel, and was SUPER excited to try this dry shampoo!
I regret it now. The smell is VERY strong, and being a dry shampoo, its a heavy ,powdery spray that almost suffocates you! I sprayed twice and had to leave my bathroom to finish as I could NOT breathe! Took about an hour for the smell to lessen, and another hour before my bathroom was breathable again. THAT being said, the effectiveness of the product is GREAT! Left my hair feeling full and voluminous, not heavy or weighed down. Absolutely cut all oil on scalp and looked fresh! Spray outdoors ;)
