Perfect multi purpose cream

Lovely texture, melts into the skin. Great for tired hands, bites, cuticles, hair, burns etc. you name it, this magic cream has got you covered. A little goes a long way too.

Great product.

I have very chapped lips and I used this product as a lip balm and it works great. I also use this on my nails to get rid of my cuticles or after a manicure or pedicure when my cuticles are super dry and it works really good for that.

An Unpleasant Suprise

I would like to start with a general disclaimer in favour of Elizabeth Arden products I am very happy with, this being the only product that utterly disappointed me. I received the Skin Protectant within a gift-for-purchase package, so it was difficult for me to give a value rating, but then, if I wouldn't buy it again, I thought two stars would be appropriate.

First, the chemical composition of the product. The cream contains petroleum jelly, mineral oil, parabens, BHT, which, while not being officially harmful, are nevertheless far from being "clean'n'green".

Second, the smell. One word. Bad.

Third, the texture. It's oily, heavy, sticky and hard to wash off even with soap.

Fourth, it gave me such a bad itchy irritation that I had to wash it off immediately.

In the company's defense, I will say that the formula was developed in the 1930's, when we didn't have the advances and advantages of today's chemistry and cosmetology. However, I do not waiver in expressing my opinion. I do not recommend it.

Works great for chapped lips

This winter I had terrible chapped lips and nothing was helping. I applied Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream at bedtime and in just one night my lips were 80% better. After a second night, my lips were totally healed and soft. I don't love the smell of it, its very medicinal but since it works, I love it. It's not cheap, but a little goes a long way so a tube lasts forever.

Absolutely amazing ! Love this cream. My combination face skin is more moisture, looking younger. Also this cream smells good. Never had something like this and highly recommend for combination skin. One of my fav ❤

Radiant skin

I received this product through a product test and I was so pleased that I was chosen as I had wanted to try it for ages! I find that my skin is quite dull and lacks glow, i used this a few times and my skin has never felt so soft, I look in the mirror and I can notice the difference in my skin and it looks so much more radiant! will definitely be investing my money in one so I recommend everyone else do too.

A must have in my life.

I love this stuff. It's brilliant on my chapped lips, as well as when I get a cold! it actually makes my nose maintain a healthy texture, rather than looking like a dry, flaking desert. Plus, one tube of it lasts damn near forever!

Just bought this

Just recently purchased this product to see if it would help my skin out at all. It is like Vaseline and I bought the fragrance free version. I've only been using it for a few days now and I take a little bit and rub it between my finger tips and then dab/press onto the dry parts of my face to moisturize. Works great on your lips, as well as dry hands and cuticles.

I have used 8hour cream for many years. It's an all purpose cream. Use it on cuticles, scrapes,pimples etc. it's a little too greasy but it blends in fairly well.
