I have dry, sensitive skin esp. with winter here. My upper lip can get really dry & flaky. I requested a sample from Sephora. This is pretty gentle stuff and helps to remove dead skin after cleansing my face. It's not too gritty in texture. It feels like fine sand. You need to rinse it off well. My skin does feel softer. It has a light scent. A little does go along way.
