surprised at how great garnier products are

i always thought of hair products when i heard garnier, but their skin line is actually quite amazing. I like that the texture is more of a gel, so it feels nice and light and absorbs quickly.

To be honest with you the texture of this product is quite nice. It is a thin gel that goes on smoothly and seems to be absorbed by the skin rather quickly. The issue I have with this product is that this scent that is added to the cream is extraordinarily overpowering. I would not use this as a date cream because it is overly hydrating and at times the overhydration turns my skin a bit slick and Whaley feeling. However, I do not mind this feeling at night as it seems to replenish all the days moisture that has been lost. If the product was less fragrant I would be inclined to buy it given it's extraordinarily reasonable price point and effectiveness. This product works really well for my dry skin that tends to break out easily. It is fairly lightweight so I can use it as both a day and night cream. I noticed results almost immediately after I started using it- skin was softer and it battles my dry skin. The only reason it's not 5 stars is it costs almost $20 for a fairly small bottle which is a little pricey in my opinion but it works really well. Would definitely recommend.

I've tried many different moisturizers in my days and after I ran out of my last moisturizer (Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel) I wanted to try another one that provides a bit more moisturizing. The night I purchased this Garnier product, I went home washed my face (CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser), applied my toner (Pixi Glow Tonic) and then I applied this fabulous gel/cream. Holy crap..wow!! Nothing but amazing!! My skin looked and felt like a million dollars. Honestly, a little goes a long ways. It's only been a few days since I started using this product and my skin hasn't looked better!! I will definitely recommend this to friends/family. I do have combo skin, so it works perfectly for me. It hydrates without leaving my skin looking and feeling oily. Perfect under makeup, but I do wait a few minutes for it to sink in before applying makeup. Amazing...if you haven't tried it and is looking for a new moisturizer to try... get this one!
