These Spin Pins are awesome. My hair is long and in the Summer months, I like to wear it in a bun if I'm outside working. It helps to keep it out of my face and off my shoulders. Great product!!

Took a bit to get the hang of using them. They do work and stay in hair very well. Sometime to well. They are great if you have long hair that needs extra pinning to stay up.

I've had these for a few months now, and still haven't gotten the hang of these. I'm not giving up yet, though!
I really do think these pins can keep your hair in place for at least a little while - it's just a matter of where you put them in place, how you make the bun, as well as how long and how thick your hair is.
My hair is kind of thick, and was pretty long until recently - now it's a little bit past my shoulders. I think this is partly why I have such trouble getting these to work.
Overall even though it's somewhat disappointing, I'm glad I have these to play around with, and hopefully get to work properly for me someday soon! I do recommend trying them out, because I'm sure they work well for lots of other people.

I recently purchased Goody Spin Pins to help me achieve the bun look. I have long, thick hair and find it difficult at times to get my hair to stay up without feeling heavy. These pins did just the trick! They are a little pricey but well worth it. The pins have allowed me to wear buns to school without having to worry about the number of times I would need to fix my hair throughout class!

I have been wanting to try Spin Pins for quite some time, but didn't want to spend the money on them if I wasn't sure they'd work. But, I recently found them in a discount basket at my local grocery store and thought I'd take them for a spin (haha).
I kind of love them! My hair is quite long (below bra-line since I made my donation to Beautiful Lengths!) and very thick. What I like about using the Spin Pins is that I can create a loose bun look. Without them, if I want to put my hair in a bun, I would have to twist and wrap it really tightly and use elastics, clips, and bobby pins to hold it. These magical little devices let me loosely twist my hair up (three cheers for less damage!) and hold it pretty well. I wouldn't expect them to hold my hair up and in place all day because it's so heavy, but they work well for a while if I'm not doing anything too active, and can be easily re-positioned when they do start to slip. Also, you might want to use some basic bobby pins to tuck in the ends.
The dark ones are a little light for my hair but still camouflage well.
They are easy to insert, but I should add that they can be difficult to get out. If you spin them in too far or if your hair is really loosely pinned up, it can be hard to grasp the end and "unspin" them. But, once you can get a hold of it and get it started, it comes out easily.
    Give them a try!

I really do like these ... My hair is just past my shoulders and use it quite easily, it tends to look a bit messy, but that could just be me. I use them more often straight out of the shower, which is easier but can use them when my hair is completely dry. They hold up all day taking taking care of my 2yr old and 3 month old without loosing at all.

My only complaint is that the pins can bend quite easily while in my hair, if the two pins touch at all. It's easy to bend it back to shape but they can be hard to get out once bent.

The Goody Spin Pin claims to help you achieve simple easy hair styles (i.e buns), with just 2 spin pins. Just one of these pins does the work of 20 bobby pins (as per Goodys claim).
You can purchase a package of 2 spin pins for roughly $6-8 and in a few different colours to better match your hair colour (in order to camouflage them in your hair!). They also now have mini spin pins (which comes as a pack of 3)!
I bought a pack of the normal size spin pins in a lighter colour since I have pretty much medium brown hair (and don't care if the colour shows a bit). Personally I didn't look over the styles they suggest too much and just played with it a bit myself. They are very easy to get used to and simple to handle/use.
When I use these my hair feels secure in place, whether I'm doing a looser style or something a bit tighter. I usually probably won't have to redo the sytle a couple times throughout the day to make sure its what I want (though I do it anyway sometimes). My hair is just past shoulder length and a bit thick and I don't find much trouble keeping my hair in place with these, my sister who has short thicker curlier hair also likes these guys.
At first I hesitated because of the price (I like a bargain!) but now I'm definitely okay with the price because they work and you will not need to keep buying these over and over. Hair ties and bobby pins can hurt, feel uncomfortable and also break and you wont't really have those problems with the spin pin! I definitely suggest this for the girl who wants to change up her look easily now and then.

I saw plastic spin pins for $1 each online, but I never got around to ordering them. But when I saw these ones in the store, I figured that I would try it out. They're made out of metal instead of plastic, so I figured they'd be more sturdy. I've tried various hairstyles, but for the small size, you should probably stick to small buns, especially if you have layered hair. When I tried to put all of my hair in a bun using 1, and then 2, spin pins, may hair started falling, especially my shorter layers.

But overall, I really do love these spin pins, but I think I might still buy a bigger size if I can find it.

after seeing them on tv i started looking in every store. i use 3-10 pins daily so the idea of 1 was great. i was very happy with how easy was to use and how tight it held however i found they started to stretch and bend after a short time. my husband noticed that i was no longer leaving 20 pins laying all over the house so he was a fan.

These are the most phenomenal hair accessories/tools ever, and extremely easy to use. My hair is well past my shoulders and now medium thickness after using Ojon products for more than a year. We had been living in a very hot, tropical country for over a decade and I was always looking for decent pins/clips/etc to hold my hair up, which inevitably broke. My search ended when we came back to Canada and after having the same thing happen - clips breaking, bands snapping and tearing my hair out - I saw these advertised. It actually took me quite some time to find a store that stocked them, so by the time I did, I didn't care much about shelling out the $6.98 tax, although they are pretty pricey for just 2 to a package. I was just happy as a booger to finally have them :-)

I forgot when I bought them to check the package for directions because I was in such a rush to get them home and try them, but I have never had a problem with them staying in or even getting them in. I have found them very simple and straight forward to use. I use only 2, but will be buying more in case they ever take them off the market. The way I use them: pull my hair back like I would for a pony tail and then twist this hair starting at the scalp until it starts forming a bun all by itself, which I completely wrap around in a circle. I then screw one in close to the scalp and grabbing the edges of the bun going from the top to the bottom and then one from the bottom of the bun to the top. You can also twist one in from each side, intertwining. Never fails to work for me. If you've got thick hair, try crossing them so they intertwine within the middle of the bun and hold your hair more securely. I have never had them come out, not even when I have been sleeping. They definitely stay put!

They get even better :-) What I love even more about them is that they are completely invisible because they are buried deep in my hair leaving a perfectly smooth bun, and also keep my hair from being damaged by elastics, hair bands, etc. I also use far less hairspray to keep my hair in place, and when I take them out, my hair is perfectly wavy and beautiful looking, even at the end of the day. I also often go to bed with my hair damp and use these to keep my hair securely up during the night. When I wake up, I brush it all out into gorgeous, voluminous waves. Pretty impressive, with absolutely no effort. I can't even remember the last time I used a curling iron, which rarely worked for me anyways.

Well worth the price. I'll be buying at least another 8 to 10 packages of these because I can't ever see myself stopping using these. I would suggest stocking up on this product before they one day disappear. Like all great products, they undoubtedly will :-(
