Mighty little skitter!

This was a welcome surprise! The packaging was easy to open and with batteries included this Skitter was ready to go, right out of the box. The actual toy is lightweight but great quality. It is easily operated by an on/off switch on the underside of the skitter’s body. It comes with one additional piece required to propel the skitter forward, so don’t forget to insert that into the body of the skitter to work properly. My song and daughter loved following and dancing along with this small, but mighty Skitter! Thanks to Butterly and Spin Master for sending this to me for review!

Moves just like a real bug!

Hex bots by Spin Master really are the masters at making toys move like real bugs! This fun toy skitters around your house wildly, while your child chases it. The colours and quality are definitely what you would expect from Spin Master Toys. It comes in two different colours, we got the green and purple one. It also comes with batteries, so it can be played with right out of the box. This would be perfect for younger children as it did not capture my 10 year olds attention for long. We got this item for free for our honest review.

Creative Hex Bot skitterBot Spider

I received this innovative toy for free. I was excited because my child loves animals, especially spiders. My child was a little afraid of the way the robot moves. However, it is a great design. Another child would love it.

Fun little creature

We were given this free to test from Spin Master. My boys were excited watching the creepy spider skitter across the room, and do flips when faced with an obstacle. It was very amusing but they did mention wishing they could control it themselves. The quality is good and it's a fun little toy but I don't think it'll get as much attention as their other toys, other than using it to scare daddy!

HEX BOTS SkitterBot Spider

My boys, 7 and 3 years old, enjoyed this toy, but had some challenges getting started playing with it. Instructions weren't super clear, but once we figured it out, they had fun! The only downside to the toy is that it's a little noisy, but still fun, none the less.

Fun Novelty Toy

My nephew enjoys playing with this novelty toy while I find it a little noisy and annoying. It is durable and easy to use but I don't know if it would hold a child's interest long-term.

Lots if fun

My son loved this toy. As soon as he saw the box he wanted to get into it and see what the spider could do. He laughed so hard as it "chased " him and me around the livingroom.

Fun for a good scare

I received this you from Spin Master via Butterly to test out with my kids.
First impressions - it's kind of scary which might be the point but has mixed reviews from my three children.
Youngest (3): Loved it when it was off, screamed in horror when it's on and runs away. Takes two hours for sisters to convince him it's fun. Now he says he loves the colors and it's fun to play with.
Middle (7): This is awesome! (Chases the other family members with it). Loves that it moves and is funny to see others reactions. "This is great for April Fools!"
Oldest (9) : Thought it was hilarious.
My take: It's fun, light, scary but the kids enjoy setting it off as a prank. Its decently durable but the long delicate legs might not be up to continuous use. The battery was quickly used up so it will be a use when needed toy.

It was cool but

The packaging was very nice and attractive, I wouldn’t want to pay over $15 for the item. My son did enjoy it and it did have some cool features and we enjoyed the many tricks this spider bot did, however, he said he wished he could control the speed of it, and maybe if it crawled more like a spider or bug. He did enjoy that he could hold it while it spun. Overall pretty cool toy and design.
