The important thing with a budget tablet, is to know what you're looking for and what you're getting, so you don't end up disappointed. If you already have an expensive, high-end tablet, this is a huge downgrade.

However, for a child's first tablet, a spare note-taking tablet or any other number of applications (even your first tablet if you don't have a lot of spare cash), this tablet is ideal and does a great job.

The resolution is nice, though again not perfect and crisp like on a higher-end tablet, but more importantly this can run all of the apps that a smartphone or expensive tablet can. It's ideal for giving to a child because you can play games on it without lag. It even has a front and back camera for games that require those, though it should be noted that the camera is very low quality.

If you're getting it for the camera, this is not the tablet for you. The quality is on par with flip phone cameras at Front camera: 0.3 MP and Rear Camera: 2.0 MP. For those who aren't tech-savvy the MP (Mega pixels) determine the quality level of the camera. A low level like this is very grainy and dark. Most standard smartphones these days are 12.0MP or more on the higher quality camera. But it is extremely handy to have that camera for fun apps that require one and at this price, you're not going to get much better than that.

Where this tablet really excels (other than app use being unchanged from more expensive devices) is how sturdy it is. It feels rather 'bricky', but when you drop it accidentally, that's really appreciated. This is yet another point that makes it a great budget tablet for kids.
