A must have for hot tools!

The last in the line up of products! I used this after brushing out my damp hair and right before I would use a flat iron or curling wand. It gives a nice slip to the hair and makes it look more smooth and shiny after using heat tools. The smell is a little floral for me! But works well.

Solid thermal creme

I don't often dry my hair 100% after washing, I usually prefer to let air-dry, so leave-in's are a really important part of my haircare routine. That said, I generally prefer sprays or lighter products, not usually thicker creams as this Protective Shield seems to be. I found when I used this I tried to not have a heavy hand, because I'd rather have a fly-away or too or have too much thick product on my hair right after cleansing. It seemed to do the trick, but I'm not in the sun much so I don't think I need the UV protection that this product offers.

While the other products in this line really irritated my scalp - I did try this just on the ends of my hair and it was fine - I'm hesitant to use this line because of how my skin reacted to it, and I may try again - Joico is a really great hair care line so don't just take my word for it - this could totally work for you!

Found it greasy

I don’t like to add extra product in my hair since it usually depletes the amount of days I can stretch out my hair wash. I always try to get 4-6 days and this spray didn’t really extend the life of my hair. If anything it was greasier faster

Not for my hair ...

First I want to disclose that I received this product free to try for reviewing from chickadvisor. During our road trip to Pennsylvania I used this product a couple of times and while it worked well for my split ends, it didn’t help control frizz for the bulk of my hair and didn’t meet my own needs. But I think it would work better on thinner hair

It's ok

Personally, I prefer my thermal protection in a spray bottle form. It's simple, keeps my hands clean and lightweight. This protective shield, however, does feel lightweight in my hair.
I do enjoy the fact that this product includes protection against thermal styling AS WELL as UV damage. Not many products (or that I can find) has protection against the sun's harmful rays.
Other than the protection it gives to my hair, I don't feel any difference in feel or look.

Ok

I had high hopes for this product and wish I could rate it higher but unfortunately I didn’t notice a difference while using this product. I’m sure it protected my hair but aside from that I didn’t notice anything aside from the pleasant scent. I did have to use quite a bit of product for my long hair. Thankfully the texture wasn’t sticky!

A nice protectant

I liked this protectant, mostly for the smell. I never know how much these products actually help or not help. The smell was nice, my hair was very shiny after using it. I will definitely use it up, and I enjoy having it to use, but I don't know that I would purchase again for the price.
