Unfortunately not a fan

I received a package of Knorr Selects Tomato, Basil and Garlic with Volanti Pasta for free from Family Rated in exchange for my honest review #gotitfree

While I was very grateful for the opportunity to try this pasta, unfortunately, as with the other Knorr products I received, this one really wasn't up to scratch either. The sauce thickened a bit better and quicker than with the pesto volanti pasta, but the noodles never really softened and the taste just wasn't very strong. I like that the new Knorr Selects don't contain preservatives, artificial flavours, or colours, and that they direct customers to use water rather than milk. However, using milk and olive oil rather than milk and butter or margarine would have improved the taste and texture. Also, despite using the olive oil and stirring as directed the pasta still really stuck to the saucepan. Overall, I would not purchase again and would not recommend to friends.

Pretty good!

I received this product to review for free. I really liked the flavour of the product. I also liked the texture of the pasta, however next time I will cook it for slightly longer than the package instructed, as some of the pasta seemed undercooked. One child absolutely loved it, the other didn't care for it. Overall, an easy side for a quick weeknight dinner!

Love Knorr products. Will definitely buy again!

Great value for the money. Now will become a staple in my cupboard. You can definitely taste the tomato,basil and garlic flavors. I use a lot of Knorr products and have always been pleased.

Perfect for quick dinners

I received this for free for a review and I'm so happy I got a chance to review it!
I love quick and healthy meals especially after a long day at work. This was perfect. I added in some cooked shrimp and it was all I needed for an entire meal. (Grilled chicken would also be great!)

Great side dish

We received this for free as a trial. I was excited to try them as we are bored of our side dishes. I didn’t love the smell of them cooking and my family was sceptical. So happy we tried them though because they were great. I loved the tomato and garlic taste and you can’t beat such an easy side dish ( just basically boil in water). I loved that I didn’t have to create a bunch of dishes. I loved that it made our meal complete with no effort. My 5 year old ate them which is strange because he is super picky and typically doesn’t eat anything tomatoe based. My husband liked them and he is also picky. I’d buy them again for sure and the price is really good for a quick side dish!

very basic pasta, needed more spices/sauce/ingredients, minus the garlic, the consistency was not as creamy as I expected. It was not sticky which I liked

It's ok

I'm still on the fence about this one. I felt the basil was super overpowering but enjoyed that it was an easy meal/side dish to make. I just ate it plain and did not add anything to the pasta. I was shocked at how the sauce was more like a true pasta sauce and not just some seasoning on noodles mixed with water.

Yummy In My Tummy

Loved this new pasta! Made it with breaded chicken strips and broccoli worked out for a great pairing. Loved the flavour and it cooked up nice and fast. Great addition to any meal. Only thing I noticed is that it had a weird smell while cooking but the taste was great

Great for days when you are in a hurry

I got this with 2 other ones to try. This one was easy to prepare, didn't take a lot of time. I'm usually not the biggest fan of this flavour, and I wasn't really into it this time either. My husband loves it though. I based my rating on his opinion, since i never like tomato and basil as flavours.

It was a hit

I got to try this free from FamilyRated. This is the one that the whole family loved it was great paired with chicken. It was easy to follow the directions and came out perfectly. Definitely going to have this more often.
