I've been using the Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine for years now, and it continues to be my favorite lip balm, maybe even my favorite lip product in general. It is deeply moisturizing, however it isn't uncomfortably thick or greasy and I love the sheer pale pink tint that it gives my lips.
I have this lip butter in Jasmine.
Ease of Use: 6/10
The container is lightweight and the product isn't too sticky to use with a finger. More so a product to use at home or at a desk where you can keep your hands clean.
Lasting Power and Appearance: 7/10
Not the most long-wearing product but does look very nice on the lips when initially applied. Nice light vanilla scent and generally comfortable and moisturizing to wear.
Packaging: 5/10
The little pot packaging isn't hygienic and can get messy. There seems to be an excessive amount of container when compared to the amount of product inside. The plastic feels a bit cheap.
Price/Value: 5/10
Unless you're looking for a particular shade and find it within this line, I would not say this product is completely worth spending the money on. It must be used within one year of opening and does not have any kind of SPF or other unique qualities. Simply a comfortable buttery lip balm that isn't too glossy and provides decent moisture.
A friend introduced me to the magic that is Korres' guava lip butter a few years ago. Since then it, and the various other tinted versions, are my go to lip treatment! The only thing they could do better is make it a bit more affordable for us addicts!
I have the lip butter in quince, which is a medium pink shade that is buildable. It has a creamy consistency and is moisturizing on the lips, so much that I feel I do not need to carry a separate lip balm with me. The tint is fairly pigmented and one swipe is perfect for a hint of colour on the go. The lip butter has light, sweet scent. I would like to try the other colours.
I was not a fan of the Korres butter lip balm. The product did not seem to be effective for my dry cracked lips.
I purchased this out of desperation, I have had the worst chapped cracked lips. The lady at Sephora highly recommend the jasmine flavour which I never would have tried but it is light and lovely. So many of lip balms are trying to be six products in one without achieving any. This works quickly is light and not sticky, it also has a tiny bit of colour and they have others that are tinted. I was extremely impressed!
I have the Guava Lip Butter and I absolutely love it. It's not waxy but rather very moisturizing. It goes on and really hydrates my lips leaving them with a bit of shine. Very high quality. They are on the pricier side ($14 at Sephora) but I bought it when it was on sale which made it well worth it!
It is a expensive lip balm.
The only reason why I bought this was that it was on sale - about $5.
They sell it for $14 at Sephora.
It smells great and really moisturize my lips.
It is like I am putting yummy butter on my lips.
This lip butter comes in a great range of shades and is a great tinted lip balm, although it's quite pricey. $16 from Sephora in Canada I believe, and I don't find it as moisturizing as my Jack Black Lip Balm. I do find myself reaching for it quite often though, especially when I want something to give me a bit of colour and I just recently had to repurchase because I lost my first one. Definitely something to try but I'd like to find a cheaper alternative out there.
This is my HG lip balm. I bought it when Sephora had a gift set with 3 lip butters and 3 glosses. I love how the lip butters aren't waxy and they are very moisturising. Before I apply any make up, I always moisturise my lips to prep them for any lip products. It makes the lip products go on much more smoothly.
The tinted ones are very sheer when applied.
Overall, for hygienic reasons, I wish they came in stick form because I don't really like dipping my finger into the pot. Other than the packaging, I highly recommend the lip butters for anyone who has chapped or dry lips!
