This is my favourite cleanser - and I have tried a lot! I wear a full face of makeup nearly everyday, and I need something that will remove all traces of makeup, dirt and oil effectively and without dehydrating or harming my skin. Enter Huile Douceur! I am a fan of cleansing oils in general and this one is fabulous. This is a light consistency oil and it smooths over the skin very easily. After massaging for a few moments, you can see the makeup melting away. I use this on my whole face including the eye area, and it removes all of my eye makup - including waterproof products - easily and without irritation to the delicate skin or my contact lenses. The oil also has a very pleasant light scent. After a few minutes of massaging the the oil around my face, I rinse with lukewarm water. The product washes away easily, along with all the makeup. I used to follow up with a gentle cleanser (Cetaphil) but I have found that this second step really isn't necessary and I don't do it anymore. It makes my skin feel clean without stripping it of natural oils or moisture, and without leaving an unpleasant residue. My skin feels really healthy and comfortable when I use this product. I really like the packaging - a sleek, sturdy pump dispenser with a fitted lid over top. It dispenses the perfect amount of product, it's very sanitary, it looks nice sitting on my bathroom counter, and it travels well too (no leaks). The main ingredient in the cleanser is mineral oil, so anyone with trouble tolerating that oil may want to use caution. It is also pricey (around $38 CAD), so I try to buy it when Lancome is running a GWP at the Bay or Holts, or when they have a points promotion at Shoppers Drug Mart (they also usually have it at duty free shops). My first bottle lasted me around 8 months, using it modestly once per day (I don't use it in the mornings, only for night cleansing). My second bottle lasted closer to 6 months since I used it more liberally. For me, this splurge purchase is worth it for my nightly mini spa-like facial cleansing!
