L’Occitane Almond Shimmering Oil Review

I was gifted this product by L’Occitane, and I’ve been genuinely loving it. If you’re a fan of their almond line, this shimmering oil is such a treat. It’s lightweight but deeply moisturizing, leaves a beautiful glow on the skin, and smells exactly like their signature almond scent—warm, sweet, and comforting.

The shimmer is super refined—not glittery at all—just that soft, golden radiance that makes your skin look healthy and polished. I like to use it right after the shower when my skin’s still a little damp. It absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave a greasy residue, and makes my arms and legs look so glowy.

If you already love the Supple Skin Oil, this is like the elevated summer version with a glow boost. Subtle, luxe, and perfect for warm weather.

Golden summer glow

This is the only body oil you need this summer. The scent is heavenly, a light almond scent (almond oil). The oil is incredibly hydrating as it also includes Sunflower Seed Oil and Castor Oil - both will give you the soften skin imaginable. The shimmer oil is lightweight and has a gorgeous golden shimmer effect.

Better than the OG

I have been a fan of the sweet almond line for a long time. The creamy body wash is another favourite item of mine and I LOVE the OG body oil but this one is even better. The body oil itself is as hydrating as the original but the shimmer elevates the glow. It looks sparkly in the bottle but its a very grown up, glow on your skin (as opposed to a very young looking type of body glitter or shimmer). The scent is warm and almondy. It does not linger noticeably all day as a perfume would but the subtle scent does remain enough that you or anyone who gets super close can definitely smell it.

I am very sensitive to overpowering scents and this one passes the headache check for me personally. It looks great, smells great and I feel great in it all day. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Cozy and Comforting

Love the L’Occitane Almond line, it smells so good. The almond scent is not too sickly sweet or a true gourmand but a more balanced sweet, floral and cozy scent. It’s warm cozy and comforting!! I think it’s perfect for year round wear.

The oil absorbs into my skin fast, which is great because I don’t want the product transferring on to my clothes and staining it!

The oil leaves makes my skin soft, supp and hydrated and I love how the shimmer is very subtle and not overly dramatic. Makes my skin have a natural glow! However it does leave some glitters on clothes though.
