First off, Voluminous Mascara by L'Oreal Paris is quite simply one of the best mascaras out there. There's a good reason it's a fan and makeup artist favourite!

'Carbon Black' is the newest colour in the Voluminous Mascara group. It's the blackest black I've ever seen, like wearing coal on your lashes. All of the volumizing and lengthening effects you love from the classic Voluminous stays the same but with a punch of extra blackening I was surprised to notice. Can it really get blacker than "Blackest Black"? Just based on my experience, I think "Carbon Black" is perhaps a little ashier and less glossy which makes the effect seem deeper.

Whatever it is, I love it and will continue to buy it. It is a little messier to take off, but still cleans up nicely with a proper makeover remover. No flaking that I've noticed, and it wears soft and flexible (not hard and crunchy like some products). Fragrance-free too, which is important to me because I have sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses.

I definitely recommend it!

I don't know what's the hope about this mascara but it didnt work for me. I have long and thin lashes and this made my lashes longer and thinner...not the look I was going for, it certainly didnt make eyelashes appear "fuller"

I love this mascara! I've tried plenty of others and I always end up going back to this one. I get compliments on my eye lashes quite a bit. I will never use anything but this stuff! Love it!

I la-la-LOVEEE this mascara. This is my #1 go to product! It makes my lashes so much longer and really does add amazing volume. I also love how it doesn't fall on my cheeks at the end of the day, it just stay where it's supposed to :)

the darkest, blackest mascara! My favorite of all time, can be layered to get a thicker and fuller lashes, keeps the curl well through out the day. The only con is that it's hard to remove.

By far the best Mascara I have ever used, and I have been through countless! Its not as pricey as MAC Mascaras and I would say that they work better. It provides you with extremely thick lashes with just one coat.

Great mascara, it has a narrow "wiper" in the neck of the tube so the brush comes out without clumps of mascara. Great for defining lashes and easy to layer on coats without clumping to build of volume. I didn't find it did anything for lengthening but it isn't a lengthening mascara so I wasn't disappointed. The plastic comb like brush works great with the mascara, easy to coat every lash and not clumping them together.

Very impressed, I use the waterproof version and I love it!

Love love love this mascara!! Anytime I use it I get asked if I'm wearing false lashes. It makes my eyelashes look really thick & dark, super sexy! Can be a bit difficult to get off but just rub a little vaseline over your eyes & then wipe with some wet cotton wool & bingo!

One of my friends has been using it since she's started wearing makeup and once I tried it I can see why. This is the best mascara I've tried from a drug store. It does not clump or flake, and I like the way it looks. Cheaper alternative to Estee Lauder
