I’m more than just happy! Excellent quality, easy to apply and it makes your skin glow! It is also convenient for me because I use up as day and night cream!

L'OREAL Paris Youth Code Dark Spot Corrector Illuminating Day/ Night Cream was a very disappointing purchase. The packaging is very nice and the jar is pretty but the positives end there. This day/night claims to brighten dark spots, discolourations and even out skin tone. This facial cream doesn't include an SPF, which I find strange since it for correcting dark spots most likely caused by sun exposure. I purchased the 50 ml jar, which retails for $24.99.
First impression upon opening the jar is the cream has a shimmer to it, almost like very fine sparkles have been added. The smell is very strange, it smells like bandages and is so overpowering;the medicinal scent made me feel sick. After application this cream is very luminescent on the skin, the skin definitely looks brighter but also sparkly. I don't want to look like I have sparkles on my face at my age. This cream is marketed as a Day/Night formula but, my skin pilled all over when I applied sun screen over top of it leading me have to wash it off and start over. So, for me I could only use it at night time. After two weeks I couldn't stand the smell anymore.
Overall this Dark Spot Corrector could be effective but since the smell is awful, it makes my skin pill, and it leaves sparkles on my skin I won't use again to find out.
